Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown is one of the brighter and more honest guys in Congress. Here he is explaining why Dick Cheney’s comments on Afghanistan should be ignored…along with everything else The Dick has to say about anything. .
.
Perhaps as history suggests, the Afghanistan conflict is not a winnable war and to accuse the President of dithering is hypocrisy of the highest order. Cheney’s Iraq folly has much to do with the current problems in Afghanistan.
Let me illustrate again the only place where Cheney and his toady George belong.

Dick Cheney should be hauled off to jail to await a trial. We won’t have to worry about him being a flight risk. I’m sure many countries would arrest him for war crimes. Perhaps he should buy an island…far far away.
@Mario: Let’s leave the dog out of this. He was probably detained in Cheney’s custody. I did see a chain. ;-)
Dick Cheney has proven without a doubt that he has misrepresented everything he has touched and he will have a lot of trouble to defend the falsehoods and decisions to respond to 9/11. All his decisions made us lose world respect on our leadership and degraded our beliefs in democracy and human dignity.
Dick Cheney has lost all credentials to the moral compass of this United States of America and hopefully his rant will not be listened to.
dahl, Yeah! You’re right. Those “on the ground” Generals that this President selected for the job…..Why would anyone want to trust THEIR judgment about silly little matters like troop levels and needs on the battlefield??
Much better to trust a seasoned veteran like Obama.
@Dahl: I wouldn’t trust anyone that was a friend of Cheney’s. President Obama, his long list of advisers & administration are very aware of that too. The Dark Entity that we call, Dick Cheney, sends chills up my spine. I’ve yet to hear a Republican show admiration for him.
@Tennessean, there you go again, reading things that are not even there.
I said Nothing about McChrystal’s judgment, wisdom or intellect.
My statement was strictly on CHENEY’s speaking out! Cheney is now being criticized for his administrations delays etc – BUT, I said BUT. none of us knows – not then and not now what the President and General have discussed and what they know that contributes to their decision – not even Cheney!
Hatch said Obama “should Tell the American people then why the delay in decision making” maybe its none of our damn business – as Romney said when Bush “Dithered”
@Anomaly100 Men of war Love ‘their’ war. Recall what Patton said “Magnificent! Compared to war all other forms of human endeavor shrink to insignificance. God help me, I do love it so!” and this is McChrystal’s war to end.
@Dahl: I’ve read that quote before but had forgotten it. Perhaps men have a little TOO much testosterone. Although, Palin does like her guns & aims them animals with no remorse. It must be a Republican thing. They’re all on a testosterone high.
By the way, Tennessean won’t admit she’s wrong. She doesn’t do that. It’s a Republican thang.

LOL. Was that from a costume catalog?
Dick Cheney is delusional and exhibits a textbook case of projection. Wow. I mean…just wow.

Cheney’s evil. But then calling him that just give evil a bad name
Look, McChrystal and Cheney have been BFF’s for years!
Cheney is just doing his buddy a favor after McChrystal got scolded by his boss Gates for not going through channels and speaking out publicly.
It was a feel good moment from Cheney to McChrystal

when did it stop being “giving aid and comfort to the enemy”? or is is only when you speak out when a Republican is in power?
