Seriously, as soon as it became obvious that Republicans were going to refuse to go along with any and all health care reform proposals, why didn’t Dems just go at it alone? They had the backing of a majority of Americans and all of the nonsense of the last 4 months could have been avoided.
This entire bipartisan shtick, while a wonderful ideal, is just never going to work with the current crop of Reps. Health care reform was THE issue of the presidential campaign so it’s not as if any of this was sprung onto an unknowing electorate. They voted in Barack Obama, a liberal Democrat, as well as a majority of Dems in Congress. What more did they need? What are they waiting for? Someone should inform them that they’re never going to get the blessing of Limbaugh or Beck.
Just do it already!

A lot of people on this blog have been expressing support of the President on health Care and we have wondered what the Democrats were waiting for. We have the votes in the House and Senate so Republicans can get out of the way and benefit from better rates from insurance companies. Bipartisanship is in the mind but at this point is not practical.
Let’s do this AND GO ON WITH FOREIGN POLICY INITIATIVES

Most of us have known all along that the Republicans were not going to vote on any health care reform even if Dems gave them all of the over 500 amendments that they submitted. The Amendments were just a delay tactic. And they have admitted both verbally and with their silence that they want Obama to fail!
