Sunday Morning Coming Down

.

I’m finding it more difficult to watch these talking head sessions.  It’s all so predictable you can actually write the scripts yourself.  The biggest problem is that there is no on the spot fact-checking with these people.  One minute of liberal talking points followed by one minute of conservative talking points – unless you’re watching Fox where it’s 3 minutes of conservative talking points followed by 30 seconds of liberal talking points.  All so boring.

I’m going to start sleeping in Sunday mornings.

One of my favorite Kristofferson tunes. Played it for my mom just a short while before she passed away.  On that day I sat quietly and watched as the tears rolled down her beautiful face as the thoughts of a long lost brother came rushing in.  From that day on, this song became our song.

Mom, for you…

.

.

“wishin’ Lord that I was stoned…’cause there is something in a Sunday, makes a body feel alone.”

Mario, that is so sad a story and I was not expecting it from reading your first paragraph. I was already for it though, because I had just received an email from a dear friend of mine that had to take his kitty to the vet to be euthanized yesterday and my heart was breaking from thinking about that. I am not trying to equate the death of a parent to a death of a pet, just showing my state of mind this morning. Thanks for the song.

I also hear you about the Sunday morning talk shows. They think that they are showing balance by having someone from the left and someone from the right to bash with their political spins, when the important analysis is usually somewhere in the middle.
