The new poll of Connecticut by Public Policy Polling (D) finds that independent Sen. Joe Lieberman’s approval rating is absolutely in the dumps after his actions in the health care debate, with him having antagonized every group imaginable by both weakening progressive efforts and then voting for the actual bill.
Lieberman’s overall approval rating is only 25%, with 67% disapproval. Democrats disapprove of him by 14%-81%, Republicans by 39%-48%, and independents by 32%-61%.
“Joe Lieberman isn’t popular enough with the Democrats or the Republicans to receive their nomination for the Senate in 2012,” said PPP president Dean Debnam, in the polling memo. “And since the independents don’t like him much these days either it’s hard to see how he’ll be around for another term.”
I’d bet that Lieberman doesn’t give a damn what his poll numbers are at the moment. He’s either decided to not run again in 2012 or he figures he’s got two years to turn it around. And judging by his performance of late, the only thing that Lieberman honestly cares about at the moment is satisfying that stupendous ego of his.

I do not think that I have had such an intense dislike and lack of respect for any politician in my life, as I am including my dislike of Richard Nixon. Lieberman is the lowest in life forms.
Joe is not done yet either. He will be chairing the Congressional investigation into the attempted attack on Dec. 25. He will turn it into a real circus and make a complete ass out of himself. He has no shame. He knows he is not going to run again, so he wants to show his ass one last time before departing.
Great writing, Mario! I totally agree that it is all about his ego and desire for revenge. Funny how karma works!
And he cares about stuffing his pockets with HC industry funds
