Ann Coulter Falls For April Fools’ Joke

Coulter Cuckoo Clock

Coulter Cuckoo Clock

Displaying her racist and divisive tendencies, Ann Coulter was taken in by an April Fools’ Day article by Car and Driver magazine.

From MediaMatters:

In her April 1 column, Ann Coulter fell for a fake April Fools’ Day article by Car and Driver magazine that claimed that President Obama has ordered General Motors and Chrysler to cease their participation in NASCAR because it is an “unnecessary expenditure.” Coulter wrote, “If Obama can tell GM and Chrysler that their participation in NASCAR is an ‘unnecessary expenditure,’ isn’t having public schools force students to follow Muslim rituals, recite Islamic prayers and plan ‘jihads’ also an ‘unnecessary expenditure’?”

Is there any doubt in anyone’s mind that this woman is totally unhinged?   Not only does she fall for the NASCAR story but she uses it as an excuse to make up lies and spread more of her venom.   And she’s got a following.  Check out the comments on her web site and read what the idiots who idolize her have to say.

By the way, she took down her Car and Driver post today without a single apology or comment.

Every day is April Fools Day when the media gives Ann ‘Skeletor’ Coulter more air time.

  3. Publius says:

People like you need to stop using the word “racism” until you learn the definition.

  4. mario says:

So why don’t you explain to “people like” me exactly what the definition of racism is?

  5. Publius says:

It is the belief that one race is inherently and genetically superior to another.

Islam is not confined to one race, therefore her comments about Muslims are not racist at all.

    Perhaps bigoted. Perhaps “culturalist”.

But not racist. That is one of the most incorrectly used words in the English language.

Just my opinion and I did not mean to offend with the “people like you” phrase.

  6. mario says:

    Ok. I’ll rephrase my statement.

Ann Coulter is a bigoted piece of trash.

  7. Publius says:

That’s better. Rev Wright is also a bigoted piece of trash, and he is actually a close friend of the President, so there you go.

But are you saying that it is a lie that some government schools have made kids do the Muslim ritual thing? That is well documented.

I won’t defend Coulter much at all. Some of her books are good, the chapter in her latest book about single mothers is devastating and spot on, but she is abrasive as hell.

  8. mario says:

What does “government schools have made kids do the Muslim ritual thing” mean?

As for Coulter, anyone who makes the following statement on Islam, in any context, is not worthy of my $20 for any of her books.

“We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren’t punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That’s war. And this is war.”

See my March post on Coulter

  9. Publius says:

It is not fiction that some government schools in America have, in the name of multicultural sensitivity, made kids act out muslim rituals and in one case, plan a jihad. Not that it is widespread, but that is what Coulter was referring to.

I cannot disagree with your criticism of Coulter’s post-9/11 rant. I will not defend much of what she says and does, but I do not think that she is a racist.

  10. obamaman says:

“We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.”

But isn’t that precisely what the Jihadists have declared they want to do to us? All you need to do is replace the word “Christianity” with “Islam”. And not only Americans my friend. You guys are infidels also!!

  11. mimi says:

Mario, That graphic is great. And, Ann Coulter is a bigoted Piece of Trash.

I am please that some Right-Wing groups have turned on her. They have posted a video on YouTube.
