Let me take a slant different than what you’ll read on most liberal blogs. I’m not going to slam Perino here. Yes, she’s a typical delusional conservative but I don’t think she’s an idiot. She’s quite aware of 9/11. What she most probably meant to say was that under President Bush, there had been no attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. It’s sort of 9/11 being the point from which we measure all future acts of terrorism. Fine, I’ll give her that but the fact still remains that 9/11 happened under Bush’s watch and his administration ignored memos and intelligence from the NSA that al Qaeda was planning an attack.
What is more unforgivable is Hannity and the lackey in the video (whoever) sitting there and not saying a single word to correct the gross misstatement by Perino. Their focus is so aimed at attacking and destroying Obama that even a statement so blatantly wrong flies right over their heads.
Hey, what can we say about Fox that has not been said a thousand times…

From Anomaly: Who knows what she meant because no one bothered to correct this. It’s one of three noted errors on Fox in about one week’s time. If this happened on MSNBC, then they’d be talking about our secret liberal agenda. You know the one. We force everyone in America to use the Constitution as toilet paper, take away their guns, then force them into a Clockwork Orange moment, where we tape their eyelids open, then force them to see pro-Muslim clips until they scream, “Allahu Akbar!!”
You can hide behind these teachings if you want but your head is in the sand if you think we are innocent of everything we did across the world for the cause of democracy. If you think that everything counts to protect our interests, then you should understand that Muslims came thousands of miles away to show you that you are wrong. We have to realise that our belligerent actions out of US soil have reached a climax with other countries and retaliation was the response to our bellicose behavior. We are bound to step on some toes when we put our nose in other people’s affairs.
So let’s see what comes out of the trials and you may be surprised what you hear. The paradigm shift on foreign policy will be inevitable.
Jovial – Just be aware that most of the nation building that’s been done by the US in the last 100 years, has been done by dems acting on liberal agendas. Right wingers want to be strong, but are happy staying home and counting their money.
Strong/Jovial, I have to agree somewhat with Strong. That may be a consideration but does not answer Jovial’s question. Or perhaps better put, is not an acceptable excuse.
Jovial you seem to be an apologist. I have no doubt the US Policies have been flawed. Still, that does not excuse flying planes full of innocent people into buildings filled with more innocent people.
Personally, I find your premise detestable in an attempt to excuse such actions. This coming from the same people that wring their hands and cry in the street every time some “maybe” innocent bystander gets killed while bombing enemy targets.
Islam is not a peaceful and tolerant religion. Muhammed was a warrior. The Qu’ran instructs in intolerance. You cannot deny that is a significant part of the problem.
I have never excused them from their cowardly action but what bothers me is the contempt they have for America and what reasons are behind that contempt. Republicans and Democrats did things abroad that must have been horrible for 19 ordinary Muslims to wage war on our turf.
We need to change direction. We cannot continue on the same path as history will declare. We need to be more independent of products we need from abroad and less intrusive in our dealings with the world. Our children do not need to die for policies like Vietnam,Afghanistan and IRAQ.

I’m pretty sure she meant “ANOTHER terrorist attack.” Nobody bothered to correct her though, which is odd.
Oops. Erm…um…what you said Mario. I didn’t see the commentary and I’d already seen the video.
I’m surprised anyone would try to make something of this.

My question is ” Why was there an attack in the first place?” Why did 19 Muslims end their life to shock the American people and the world?
The answer may be found in the trials in New York city
If it happened on MSNBC, only you and one other person would see it!! And THAT’S when their ratings are up!!
Jovial, No. You would find the answer in the teachings of Muhammed and the Qur’an.
Tennessean, no, wrong again. The answer would be found in the history of the West’s relations with the Muslim world.
Tennessean,
