The five men facing trial in the Sept. 11 attacks will plead not guilty so that they can air their criticisms of U.S. foreign policy, the lawyer for one of the defendants said Sunday.
Scott Fenstermaker, the lawyer for accused terrorist Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, said the men would not deny their role in the 2001 attacks but “would explain what happened and why they did it.”
This of course will drive the right into further frenzy.
Critics of Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to try the men in a New York City civilian courthouse have warned that the trial would provide the defendants with a propaganda platform.
Critics of Holder’s decision – mostly Republicans – argued the trial will give Mohammed and his co-defendants a world stage to spout hateful rhetoric. Holder said such concerns are misplaced, and any pronouncements by the suspects would only make them look worse.
Holder adds…
“I have every confidence that the nation and the world will see him for the coward that he is. I’m not scared of what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has to say at trial – and no one else needs to be, either.”
We just need to realize that repubs are scaredy-cats. Fighting propaganda with truth is not a concept they fully grasp.

What is most feared is the truth of why these terrorists really attacked us. What will be dire news is the realisation that we have surreptitiously attacked other nations by CIA coups, the selling of armaments to competing arab country, boycotting countries that don’t agree with us,the previous sell out of Afghanistan when Osama was on our side, protect americas oil interests and the violent means taken to acheive our goals.
The dirty laundry will come out at least for the middle east and we may be ashamed of what we did.

I so agree with you, Mario! Right on!
” Fighting propaganda with truth is not a concept they fully grasp.”
No they do not grasp it because all they fight with is propaganda, they are not acquainted with the truth, they divorced themselves from it long ago

The truth will indeed set us free.
Jovial, spot on.
We give all the freedom to have their say,
So no one will take our freedom away.
