Your Moment of Zen: Men In Film

This is good.  I wasn’t sure of a couple of actors toward the beginning of the video but I think I figured everyone else out.
.

.
Hey, Mel Gibson didn’t make the list. Wonder if it has anything to do with his drunken, bigoted rant of a while back…

UPDATE:  Oops!  Mel is in the video. My mistake. I was looking for the blue face paint.

  1. Mario, I don’t know what happened to your eyeballs, but I went thru the video three times and I did indeed see Mel Gibson in there! Right before Sean Penn and John Travolta! Maybe you need glasses!! Look at Michael Douglas then there is one I don’t recognize and then comes Mel Gibson! You need to lay off Mel and I told you he already apologized for his drunken rant! Over and over and over. Where do you think the ability and willingness to offer forgiveness enters the human condition, Mario? I can’t believe you are that hard-hearted or that unforgiving. He has apologized and he has quit drinking and has improved the quality of his life. Why can’t you give up hating him? I don’t think you are ever the kind to hold unreasonable grudges. Even Simon Wiesenthal forgave him and accepted his apology! What is with you on this? You just aren’t this kind of guy!

  2. Helen says:

Awesome – unfortunately, I spotted Mel Gibson also – but don’t be too perturbed – it was very brief :) And yes, forgiveness has nothing to do with the fact that he is still a Jew-hater (sorry)!

  3. @Melody

I respect what you’re saying but you simply need to respect my right to like or dislike whomever I want. I think Gibson is a bigoted Jew hater. His apologies, at least to me, are meaningless. Booze does not make one what they’re not. It only emphasizes what they are.

Can I be wrong? Yep. But so can you. So, you go on liking the man and I’ll go on disliking him.

    Have a great evening.

  5. NathalieD says:

Melody. It’s a bit odd you would write about finding forgiveness when in the last few days you have referred to republicans as evil and losers. You need to practice what you preach girl.

  7. Karen says:

Entertaining and very well done. Did I miss Sidney Poitier? Oh well, it’s too late to night to check it out — turning into a pumpkin . . . ?

  8. The facts about the Republicans are what they are. I did not make them losers! They accomplished that all by themselves! I just report the facts! At least Mel Gibson did apologize, Natalie, but the Republicans will never apologize for their egregious behaviors and attitudes! That means that until they ask for forgiveness as Mel did, they won’t be able to be offered any!

  9. nick0987 says:

To continue the discussion about Mel Gibson: Especially people who claim to be (warning) against a person because he is supposedly hateful, bigoted, self-righteous and rigid (and defends his right to be so no matter what disconcerting information may come his way) should not engage in such mentalities themselves, it casts doubt on their OWN character, emotional make up and reasonableness and makes one seriously doubt whether THEY can be trusted. There is a point were this viciousness, this demeaning attitude and the defense of it, turns on the one who is continually attacking as opposed to the one who is not – except for this one instance in over 50 years of life. And if it is an attempt to support Jewish people, from the point of view of bystanders it is the continual expression of hatred itself and the justification of it that makes one look foolish, unbalanced and petty as opposed to trustworthy and sane. Under these conditions it does no longer help Jewish people gain ground, it makes them LOOSE ground.
