NFL Players Tell Limbaugh To Shove It

Rush Limbaugh / NFL / http://mariopiperni.com/

.

As if politics has not infiltrated enough institutions, now we have this.

The media reported that hate radio host Rush Limbaugh is involved in a bid to purchase the National Football League’s St. Louis Rams franchise. Many sports media figures lambasted the idea of Limbaugh owning an NFL team, with one writer saying it “would definitely hurt” the Rams while another said his “head exploded after hearing this Limbaugh news” because he is “a pungent bowl of stark raving bigoted lunacy.”

Now, the players themselves are piling on. Specifically, many African-American players have explicitly stated that they would never play for a team that Rush Limbaugh owns. “All I know is from the last comment I heard, he said in (President) Obama’s America, white kids are getting beat up on the bus while black kids are chanting ‘right on,’” New York Giants defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka told the New York Daily News, adding, “I don’t want anything to do with a team that he has any part of.”

New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott said…

I can only imagine how his players would feel. I know I wouldn’t want to play for him. He’s a jerk. He’s an —.  He could offer me whatever he wanted, I wouldn’t play for him. … I wouldn’t play for Rush Limbaugh. My principles are greater and I can’t be bought.”

Nice.  Here’s a sampling of Limbaugh’s hate talk.

“Look, let me put it to you this way: The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”

“We need segregated buses. … This is Obama’s America.”

“President Obama is black. And I think he’s got a chip on his shoulder.”

Democrats are interested in Darfur to secure black “voting bloc.”

“Minorities never do anything for which they have to apologize.”

Obama’s nomination for president “goes back to the fact that nobody had the guts to stand up and say no to a black guy.”

Obama is a “halfrican-American.”

And let’s not forget about Limbaugh’s joy in playing Barack The Magic Negro repeatedly on his show.

Rio 2016

Olympics 2016 Chicago Rio / http://mariopiperni.com/

.

Rio de Janiero won the bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.  No surprise there.  Rio was the sentimental favorite from day one in that no South American country has ever hosted an Olympic games.  Chicago was eliminated in round one even after President Obama jetted off to Copenhagen to push for the games.  And now, the right is rejoicing.

Glenn Beck.

“Oh, it’s so sweet” that Chicago’s bid failed; “savor this moment.”

Rush Limbaugh.

For those of you on the other side of the aisle listening in who are upset that I sound gleeful — I am. I don’t deny it. I’m happy. Anything that gets in the way of Barack Obama accomplishing his domestic agenda is fine with me.

Lou Dobbs.

“On today’s broadcast, the IOC just says ‘no’ to Chicago! As the Drudge Report says ‘The Ego Has Landed.’ ”

RedState.

So Obama’s pimped us to every two bit thug and dictator in the world, made promises to half the Olympic committee, and they did not even kiss him.

Michele Malkin.

President Obama’s giddy ego flight has ended with melted wax and fallen wings. This is a big win and a massive relief for taxpayers. But Chicago cronies are not going to take this well. Gird your loins.”

This is the stuff the right hangs on to and takes joy in.  Anything that possibly casts the president in a negative light, whether or not it is detrimental to the nation, is good news for these people.

They get more disgusting by the day.

Obama – Clearing The Bar

Obama / Chicago Olympics / http://mariopiperni.com/

.

I like this move.

In the final days of Chicago’s quest to host the 2016 Olympics, President Obama is making himself a central player in the effort to bring the Summer Games to his adopted home town, raising the political stakes for the White House with no assurance that the Windy City will win.

Obama announced Monday that he will fly to Denmark for a speaking part in Chicago’s final presentation to the International Olympic Committee, ending what has been a behind-the-scenes lobbying effort by the White House and Obama friends on behalf of their home town. First lady Michelle Obama, born and raised on the city’s South Side, will also address IOC members, who will make their decision Friday, choosing among Chicago, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.

The President will undoubtedly pick up a ton of flack from the right.  You can hear it now – “What?!!? He’s got time to fly to Denmark with a health care crisis on our hands?”

Well, yes he does actually. It’s called multitasking – a concept foreign to many of the wingnut variety.
