Bye-Bye Alaska, Hello Lower 48

I just listened to Sarah Palin’s resignation speech.  What a bag of wind.  So many words and not a single substantial thing said.  Typical Palin.  Her rambling speech touched on the troops, national security, the god-awful media and energy independence.  Lovely.

There is definitely more to this story which we’ll all come to learn in the upcoming days and weeks.  What is most revolting about Palin is her inability (or refusal) to understand that the only reason for her failure on the national stage is her own lacklustre performance based on her limited knowledge of government, history and the world in general.  She’s a minor leaguer.

I’m still sticking to my post-election prediction

As for Palin, I think her future is in television.  Her telegenic good looks and empty head would be perfect for a fake cable news network such as…hmmm…Fox News maybe?  Let’s see now, what would the show be called?

How about – Kariboo Barbie’s Korner.   Perfect.

Here’s the Palin resignation speech…

“Update: This just in my inbox, from a source connected sometimes to CNN:

“Here’s a quote I got from law enforcement here in Alaska yesterday afternoon regarding Palin “a criminal indictment is pending authorization.”

    Or… Sarah Palin Gone Galt.

I know where my money is.

  2. BlancaCarta says:

Definitely more to her resignation. If Palin is anything, she’s opportunistic.

“FURTHER UPDATE: Okay, I’ve now been able to get independent information from multiple sources that all of this precedes what are said to be possible federal indictments against Palin, concerning an embezzlement scandal related to the building of Palin’s house and the Wasilla Sports Complex built during her tenure. Both structures, it is said, feature the “same windows, same wood, same products.” Federal investigators have been looking into this for some time, and indictments could be imminent, according to the Alaska sources. The BRAD BLOG has not been able to receive confirm from any federal sources on this. Our information comes from local Alaskans who follow Palin, and who have been keeping an eye on this for some time, while keeping it quiet at the request of federal investigators.”

That was my guess. I posted my guess in the forum awhile ago.

Funny how Fox isn’t all over this?

There are a number of sites now carrying stories of possible criminal charges pending against Palin. It also seems unlikely that she would have given up the governorship if she intended to run in 2012. This is going to be interesting.

This woman had/has dreams of becoming president? My god, listen to her resignation speech. She makes George Bush seem articulate.

  6. Janine says:

@Mimi, thanks for the links you posted and your thoughts. Now I know there are bodies and not just skeletons in her closet!

@MaryJ you are right! she did make Bush seem articulate. I had to listen to her speech a couple of times because I thought I missed something, but I didn’t miss anything in her nothingness of words and all I got for my trouble was a headache.

And what’s with the her taking her fight for the right of Alaska in a new direction? Are she and her husband doubling their efforts in the Alaska succession movement?

@mario is right, from his earlier post, there may be a soccer mom out there that would make a good president, but it wouldn’t be her.

@mimi…..”Funny how Fox isn’t all over this?”

Funny how NOBODY is all over it except the……”Brad Blog”?? (snicker, snicker) and you and Piperni.

What amazes me is how this woman, who all of you agree is stupid, vapid, useless, whatever the loony criticism of the day is….has generated such vitriolic hatred and attack from you people. All in all she seems a pretty decent person but you loons, particularly you female loons, despise her and have attacked her mercilessly.

I guess hell hath no fury like an ideology scorned.

  8. [...] Begala’s biting take on Palin’s resignation. Sarah Palin makes Mark Foley, the congressman who sent filthy emails to pages look almost normal. [...]

  9. mimi says:

    Libby,
Are you living in a cave? It’s all over. The speculation about the embezzlement as well.

Get out of Fox, WorldNutDaily, Freepers, RedState and you’ll see.

  10. LiberalsRs....d says:

@mimi….you may be right. But so far, I haven’t seen much of anything on it except laughable sources such as “Brad’s Blog” (that still makes me chuckle) and here.

My guess. Palin was thrust onto the scene and she may well have been unprepared for the candidacy. But even more so, she was unprepared for the viscous, spiteful and personal attacks against herself and her family. I think she probably just wants to be done with the whole sordid affair.

(btw….Brad may be the brightest blogger out there, but he’s not much on marketing. When I hear “Brad’s Blog” as a source, my first reaction is to laugh.)

  11. mimi says:

    Libby,

The Brad Blog is a well known blog. He concentrates on Election fraud. He has been interviewed on major networks. He is not a lightweight blogger.

It is your mistake to dismiss because it’s called “Brad’s Blog”, a/k/a “The Brad Blog”.

Now, I have a few problems with Brad Friedman. But, the man is well known for his work in exposing election fraud.

  12. LiberalsRs....d says:

As I said. Not a marketing genius.
