“Ladies and gentleman of the United States, the Democrat Party has actively not just sought the failure of Republican presidents, and policies, and now war for the first time. The Democrat party does not stop at failure. Talk to judge Robert Bork, talk to justice Clarence Thomas about how they try to destroy lives, reputations and character. And I’m supposed to say I don’t want the president to fail? We are in for a real battle. We are talking about the United States of America… remaining the country we were all born into and reared and grown into. And it is under assault, it has always been under assault. But it has never been under assault like this, from within.”
Here’s a bonus quote from the man who many see as the voice and intellect of the Republican party. On dealing with liberals, he said:
“Why be afraid of the deranged?”

You had to watch Rush’s performance at CPAC to really appreciate the pure chutzpah of this ugly, ugly man. He actually said he is against bipartisanship and asked republican leaders to not participate in any attempts to make it work.
This man doesn’t give a hoot for anyone but himself and must be laughing all the way to the bank at the naive fools who make up his audience.
Are you insane linda? Rush Limbaugh might be the last true patriot in this country and he understands the sick liberal mind better than just about anyone.
Rush is completely right on the bipartisanship issue. Why should conservatives water down their beliefs to appease your messiah, Obama? We have a battle on our hands and we’ve got to fight the move to Stalinist socialism which is Obama’s goal.
The one who should seriously “get a grip” is you, my friend. Do you actually sit there like some pathetic puppy gulping down everything Limbaugh says? Your commentary on these pages has been nothing more than a rehashing of Limbaugh BS. Do you not carry a single original thought in your head?
Not at all. But aren’t we supposed to be about change? Aren’t we supposed to be about enlightenment and hope? I don’t see where rude, vulgar and offensive images, or language either adds to the commentary. We should be able to stand on what we are about. We should be able to stand on our message and belief without resorting to crude words and pictures. Surely you could have found a less crude and vulgar way of getting the same message across?
‘Crude’ is a relative term. What is it that offends you in my illustration? Is it the bull’s testicles? Is it the image of the animal’s rear end? Should we not use the word “balls” in public?
The purpose of my illustrations is to depict an idea in as direct a manner as I can. I could of simply shown an image of Limbaugh with the letters ‘BS’ across the top. The above image, I think, says it much better.
As for what you wrote about “change”, yes, we should all be about change. That was exactly the point of my post and the image of Limbaugh. People of his sort are not interested in change of any kind unless it has a conservative bent. Limbaugh actually said he was against bipartisanship. Now if that does not make him an ass, then I don’t know what does.
“Crude” may be relative. But it’s also relative if “words” by Limbaugh or anyone else warrant crude and vulgar images or words in response. Respectfully submitted, I don’t think so. That’s all.
With that said, if you are comfortable with the position that is the best way you can express yourself, I guess I have nothing further to say.
I’m enjoying your site. I hope you can find better ways of expressing yourself in the future. I would like to think we are better.
I’m not sure where you stand politically, though I have my suspicions. But regardless of what your political philosophy might be, I would hope that lies and misinformation coming from any side of the divide, should be something which upsets you…something which would make you or anyone else say, “Enough!!”.
I spent over an hour watching Limbaugh’s address to CPAC. In that time, the number of outright lies and exaggeration of the facts was astounding. The country cannot wait for catastrophes like Katrina or 9/11 to come together. Greatness is better measured by how we all deal with one another in times of relative calmness.
The Limbaughs of the nation look for divisiveness and whenever they can, will go as far as to mangle the truth to suit their purpose. And it is this which I speak of when I portray a Limbaugh as I have. So this is not about right vs. left or an exchange of ideas. It’s about influencing the naive with non-truths and it is imperative that we all stand up and shout “enough!”.
Obamaman, I understand your concern, and I do believe that , ‘on the Hill ‘, Obama is doing just as you hope, offering the olive branch and looking forward and believing in America as one, not liberal vs. conservative.
A crude man and dangerous man and ridicules man such as Limbaugh really believes his republican party should be the only power in the states. He is not worthy of respect here on the blog!
President Obama is grace and elegance, he will rule our nation worthy of your expectations.
What can this moron expect? How dare he rant his vicious rhetoric, casting sheep-like people like Rovan under his spell of traitorous thinking.
The picture does justice! Good work Mario.
“I’m not sure where you stand politically, though I have my suspicions.”
Why would that have anything to do with how I choose to express myself? Or my concern over what I felt was a vulgar and offensive image?
We should be moving forward. We should be leaving the failed policies and practices of the last eight years behind. If we foment animosity and hatred of our own brand, are we any better than the Limbaugh’s of this world? I just think activity such as displayed with those words and images lessens the impact of the good we can accomplishment and just gives the “Rovan’s” of the world ammunition they can understand and relate to.

It has nothing to do with it which is why my very next line after the one you quoted reads, “But regardless of what your political philosophy might be…”
If we don’t give it, how can we expect it in return?
Not everyone is like Rovan. Many intelligent and articulate people believe in Limbaugh and his message. (I know. Sounds contradictory to me too.) Wouldn’t the better way to sway them be to engage them in meaningful, courteous and respectful dialog?

Get a grip linda. You’re worshiping a false god.
Palin ’12 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stalinist socialism? lol

I’m certainly not a fan of Limbaugh. But I find that picture very crude and offensive. Surely we can do better.
Sorry you’re offended, obamaman. I call ‘em like I see ‘em.
And no, I can’t do better. Would Obama’s face in place of Limbaugh’s have made you feel better?

Nothing offensive about the image at all. If anyone ever deserved having his ugly mug splattered across the ass of a bull, it’s Limbaugh.
This man has probably created more divisiveness in the country than any other individual.
