Nineteen months after ending his disastrous run for the presidency, Rudolph W. Giuliani is clearing a path for a possible race for governor in 2010, believing public anger at an ineffectual Albany and unease over the economy could create ideal conditions for a Republican to reclaim the governor’s mansion.
Before the election campaign, I sort of liked Giuliani. Perhaps I just didn’t know enough about him but despite his messy personal life, I respected his toughness and his moderate views after having spent time as both a Democrat and a Republican.
Now, I think he’s just another dick who is more concerned about Rudy Giuliani than the welfare of his country. He’s convinced few that he possesses any true core beliefs. His run to become the Republican presidential candidate highlighted a shallow, little man who was willing to say anything to further his career. His continual references to 9/11 during the campaign to address any and all issues was both comical and disgusting. His one trick pony was “I could protect you from the evil terrorists because I was mayor of New York on September 11″ and it wore thin from the start.
Governor of New York? I hope he tries and gets his ass kicked in.

Ya know when Rudy was running for President (cough, cough) a lot us who did not live in New York Just saw him as being like Zsa Zsa Gabor or Paris Hilton – famous for being famous.
Then I watched his interview as to what he did on 9/11 I kept waiting for the SCENE that would spring him into heroism – didn’t happen. He did what a Mayor was Suppose to do! What option did he have but to do what he did?
