No, the greatest threat are the lying, heartless, manipulative bastards who held power for eight miserable years under the atrocious presidency of George W. Bush. The same people who started an immoral war responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. A war they wanted and got by means of lies and manipulating public opinion.
The same people who failed to utter a peep as President Bush spent like a drunken sailor doubling the national debt while cutting taxes for the rich.
The same people who after the near collapse of the banking industry still believe in further deregulation.
The same people who fought tooth and nail on the side of health care executives to block badly needed reform.
The same people who found it appropriate to apologize to BP even as oil and dead sea life washed up on shores and shattered the lives for millions on the Gulf Coast.
The same people who blocked the extension of benefits for the unemployed as tens of millions struggle in an economy which finds one job available for every five people looking for one.
The same people…you fill in the blank.
Where were you during those eight years, Tom Tancredo? Because if you were any part of that mess, then you might consider that the greatest threat to your country might very well be you and your Republican cohorts.
