Stupidity – Republican’s Best Friend

This is how sick it’s gotten.  A Pew poll finds…

…that 18% of Americans say the president — who, it should be said for the record, is a practicing Christian — is a Muslim. That’s up from 11% who said the same thing in March of last year.

At the same time, a new poll from Time magazine shows a widespread distrust of Islam among Americans, and an overwhelming opposition to the Cordoba House project in Manhattan. The Time poll also found that 24% of Americans say Obama is a Muslim.

What more can you say about those 24% of Americans aside from calling them horribly misinformed?  Well you can say this: at least one in four Americans is a complete moron.  One does not have to be a news junkie or an Obama fan to at least be aware that the President is not a Muslim.  Hate his policies or his skin color.  Call him a nazi, socialist, communist dog if it makes you happy.  But when you do, at least attempt to get the facts straight.

When you stop to realize that this same 24% of Americans have the right to vote, it becomes crystal clear as to why ignorance is Republican’s best friend come November.  And you can rest assured that Fox, Limbaugh and the rest of the conservative media will be doing their part in keeping the sheeple stupid.
