I’m sitting here eating my ice cream sundae (raspberry sherbet with sliced banana and a sprinkling of walnuts) when a thought hit me. Any political party which would consider – CONSIDER I SAY – having a cartoon character of the likes of Sarah Palin as its presidential candidate is an insult to the term ‘political party’ and to every American with an IQ above that of an Alaskan moose.
Seriously, why aren’t all thinking Republicans (oxymoron?) not walking around with bags over their heads?

So, Palen and Co. officially splitting off into a 3rd party – the Conservative Party. It may have something to do with the rebuff she got from moderate Republicans during the campaign. I hope she runs for president on the Conservative ticket with Bachmann as her running mate – or Glenn Beck maybe. I hope that Conservative Party candidates crop up all over the country during the 2010 elections to split the vote. Too bad they couldn’t have gotten someone in line in time for this year’s VA gubernatorial race. Maybe they’ll have someone on the ballot anyway. Hope so! We in the Deeds camp are praying for a miracle.
Frances, if you are going to cast dispersion on someone’s intellectual capability, you may want to spell their name correctly. ;-) (See. My memory is okay.)
Considering Palin as a serious candidate was a mistake. I don’t think anyone disagrees with you on that.
But she was just as qualified as a liberal college professor who had no “real world” work experience. I’m sure she probably doesn’t compare on an IQ level, but the only real difference between the two of them is their ideologies. On an experience level, they’re both unqualified.
@BlancaCarta: Even then it would be flattery. It’s not just the level of intelligence, but let’s face it, Bachmann’s personality is comparable to a bag of hammers.
Tennessean, my comment was more an opportunity to talk about the emerging Conservative Party than anything else. I’m no fan of Palin by any stretch of the imagination. She’s an opportunistic media climber who has made the best of the shot she was given at the limelight. There is no substance, but that does not mean there is no brain.
I monitor NewsMax. NewMax lowered the price of the Palin book: Going Rogue to $4.97. NewMax had made a bulk buy of the book to drive up the circulation numbers.

Tommy, big difference was one of them was running for Leader of the Free World while the other was running as a glorified assistant.
@Mario,
was it the wal- nuts that brought Sarah to mind whilst you were consuming your sundae?
@Janine: LOL! You are so funny!
Nuts=Palin You betcha’!!
Tennessean, where did I cast aspersions on Sarah Palin’s intellectual abilities?
@Frances. You didn’t but it would have been understandable if you had. Palin and Bachmann, the idiot duo.
@BlancaCarta: Even then it would be flattery. It’s not just the level of intelligence, but let’s face it, Bachmann’s personality is comparable to a bag of hammers.
Frances, I just figured if you were buying into a post ridiculing Palin you were pretty much propagating the mindset. If I was in error, I apologize.
