Again, I could not care less what this woman has done in her life, sexual or otherwise. None of my business. The only relevant point here is that if one decides that the way to fame and riches is to set themselves up as a role model for young girls by preaching wholesome Christian values, then don’t complain when sexually graphic pics and videos surface and the media points out the obvious hypocrisy.
You can also add liar to her list of non-Christian traits. Prejean was not fired by the Miss USA pageant because of her stance on gay marriage. She got canned for violating the conditions of her contract on a number of points. Rolling out “the liberal media is out to get me” shtick is getting old.
As my grandmother was fond of saying those many times I sat on her lap as a toddler “mario, you live by the sword, you die by the sword!”
Ok, she never actually said that but I have no doubt she would have told Prejean those very words. Of course it would have been in Italian and Prejean would not have understood a single word and…ah, forget it.

I saw her on the Today Show this morning and noticed that she took a very defensive posture during the whole interview. And Viera was not asking hard questions or making accusations. Prejean blames her situation on the fact that the media has a “liberal bias” – I guess compared to Fox News, anything else seems biased against her. She claims she’s been under “constant attack” from people who hate her for her religious beliefs.
I have to ask, though, how many truly religious girls think it’s okay to send their boyfriend videos of them masturbating. I’m sorry, but it’s kind of like George Costanza in the “Sweater With The Red Dot” episode of Seinfeld. When confronted by his boss about having sex with the cleaning woman on his desk, his defense was, “You mean that’s not done? Becauase every other office I’ve ever worked in…”
No Carrie, if you were half as straight-laced as I was at 17, you would have been mortified for anyone to know – let alone your boyfriend that you were “touching yourself in an unholy manner”. Here’s the thing, certainly the boyfriend betrayed her trust, beyond that though — Carrie knew the tape existed and even though she is young, she has grown up in an era of technology where nothing is private and where similar instances have happened before. It is naive, at best, that she didn’t think this tape would see the light of day sometime. She never claim to be a prude, sinless, or holier than thou. Those are straws and words liberals put into her mouth and into her views she never claimed she held to.
