As interesting is that only 4 out of 10 Americans are aware that their president was born in Hawaii. This is why any poll which asks the public their thoughts on political topics(e.g. healthcare, financial reform) can be ignored as irrelevant. Sixty percent of them don’t know the facts anyway so their opinion is meaningless.
And even though their opinion is rendered meaningless @Arthur L, it is that meaningless opinion that gets bandied about on the airwaves..
After all the press on this one issue it is ludicrous that that many people still believe Obama was not born in the U.S. — of course they are racist…This would not be an issue if he were white
Can you blame anyone inside the beltway for concluding that fly-over country is filled with ignorant dolts?
And can you blame any one of them for acting on such a conclusion?
