Digging Deep Inside a Rambling and Infantile Mind

palin-vision1

..

Paul Begala’s biting take on Palin’s resignation.

Sarah Palin makes Mark Foley, the congressman who sent filthy emails to pages look almost normal. She makes David Vitter, the senator who was hanging out with hookers, look almost boring. She makes Larry Craig, caught hitting on a cop in a men’s room, look almost stable. She makes John Ensign, the senator who was having an affair with a staffer, look almost humdrum (and compared to the rest of the GOP whack-jobs, he is). And she makes Mark Sanford, the governor with the Latin lover, look positively predictable.

It gets better…

Her statement was incoherent, bizarre and juvenile. The text, as posted on Gov. Palin’s official website (here), uses 2,549 words and 18 exclamation points. Lincoln freed the slaves with 719 words and nary an exclamation; Mr. Jefferson declared our independence in 1,322 words and, again, no exclamation points. Nixon resigned the presidency in 1,796 words — still no exclamation points. Gov. Palin capitalized words at random – whole words, like “TO,” “HELP,” and “AND,” and the first letter of “Troops.”

And the knockdown…

I’m no latter-day Strunk & White, just a guy who was struck by Palin’s spectacularly rambling and infantile prose. It bespeaks a rambling and infantile mind. But perhaps not. Perhaps this is all a ruse. Perhaps Gov. Palin wants us to believe she’s an intellectual featherweight who is slightly shallower than an actor on High School Musical. Maybe she’s trying to throw us off the trail.

Naah. A lot of people thought that about George W. Bush. He couldn’t be so block-headed, they said. He couldn’t be as childish and churlish as he came off. Oh yes he could. And so, too, might Ms. Palin be as vapid and puerile as her inane statement suggests.

A “rambling and infantile mind” is an apt description for Palin.  From day one, liberals and conservatives alike have been struck by her ineptitude and total lack of understanding of the issues.  It was as if 8 years of George W. Bush’s shallowness was not enough for some and they needed more.

And for those who would show dismay or anger at criticism of Palin, the record shows she has earned each and every word of mockery thrown her way.

Okay, I get her appeal, she is a fundamentalist conservatives wet dream but she makes no discernible sense. I just read her speech and I still have no idea what she’s talking about. No idea in what direction she is going, one can only hope her direction will be off the national stage.

Paul Begala is a nasty, vicious, impotent little man. Who cares what he thinks? Oh! I know who cares. YOU guys!!

  3. SJCAlumni1979 says:

I agree with Janine. In a speach that she had time to prepare she did not make sense.
What worries me is we are all now talking about her. She has taken over the air waves and the blogs. What’s that old saying? I don’t care what you call me, just call me.

  4. LIberalsRs....d says:

“And for those who would show dismay or anger at criticism of Palin, the record shows she has earned each and every word of mockery thrown her way.”

Okay. I’ll bite. Exactly what has this woman done to deserve the vicious hatred liberal dung heaps like you have lavished on her? She’s not “smart”? Yeah. That’s a good reason. She doesn’t speak in an effete, intellectual manner such as you? Surely that must be the reason she deserves the hatred you people have lavished on her since she came on the scene.

No. I don’t think you can give a substantial reason why this woman deserves the vicious criticism of impotent old men like you and Begala. You’re just another dirty little man that has nothing better to do.

Sarah Palin has made you guys look in the mirror at your liberal and/or immoral philosophies and you are a little embarrassed at what you see. And that is what has made you so vicious.

Nothing more remarkable than that. And nothing remarkable about the hateful responses of morally bankrupt old men.

So I dare you, you embittered little man. Dazzle us all with exactly why this woman, or any woman, deserves your viscous, dirty, ignorant criticism.

  5. Classic strawman argument. Now it’s about Palin being a woman. Please.

I don’t care a damn about Palin’s personal life, the church she attends or her family. This has nothing to do with male/female or even liberal/conservative. The only thing which matters here is her politics and her ability to be president, vice-president or even governor of Alaska. She displayed for all to see her total lack of knowledge on all of the key issues. She botched every interview she gave ’cause she’s an intellectual lightweight.

There are a ton of conservatives and Republicans out there who have criticized Palin even more viciously than Democrats have. Type ‘republican criticism palin’ in Google.

I understand you’re hooked on her good looks and combined with your politics, you’re a Palin fan. Good for you but know that it’s people like you who are taking down the Republican party. Your narrow-mindedness and inability to see the truth is helping turn your party into a joke. Actually, it’s too late. The Republican party is a joke.

Last point: Democrats and liberals wish nothing more than for Palin to be the Republican candidate in 2012. Aside from the fact that it would make it a shoo-in for Obama, the comic relief would be welcome.

    Go Palin 2012!!!

  6. Hey Liberal! You just did what we call subjective projection! In case your feeble raging old mind doesn’t know what that is…it’s where all the garbage inside you makes you feel so stinky that you try to get rid of it by projecting it onto everyone else!

As for why Sarah Palin deserves all the criticism, here a few points:

    1. She is for total abstinence for every single person until marriage even though she couldn’t manage to keep that goal working in her own home. Her own daughter doesn’t think it really works either and lots of studies through the years show that abstinence only programs don’t work across the entire nation!

    2. She is against abortion even in the case of rape or incest…even if it’s a young teenage girl. So hang a baby onto her body for 18 years plus and see if that turns this country into a cattle call for every rapist in the country. No woman would have any freedom from fear of sexual assault and the possibility of that rapist then going for paternity rights just to control that woman for years. It has already happened in several states. And he will insist on non-supervised visitation with the child while the mother is forced to live in terror that he will do to the child what he did to the mother. Sarah Palin will not acknowledge that this situation can and does exist. Courts have actually made this kind of ruling!

    3. Sarah Palin does not have enough executive training or experience to handle the gravitas of governance as evidenced by her unwillingness to see her term of office through so now we know that when the going gets tough….she just gets going…out of office and runs and hides with no decent explanation. That’s a real confidence builder for 2012! Our female president…will run and hide and give up office when it gets tough!

    4. She has had 15 ethics violations filed against her. Where there is smoke there is fire. I remember when people tried to investigate Sen. Frank Church! He came out like a Boy Scout! It is possible to govern with ethics.

    5. The only reason she could look even halfway good in Alaska was because she used the “socialist” method of taking from the oil companies and giving to the people of the state of Alaska! But then she rails against “socialist” policies of Dems! Hypocrite!

    6. Her husband is a member of a group in Alaska that advocates secession! She first tried to deny it…then she denied it again even when documented proof was shown to the public! Such patriotic fervor runs in her family!

These six are just for starters! She only knows hype and Repub rhetoric and blows a lot of hot air! Good riddance!

Hope you can figure out how to deal with your stinky insides in some better way than trying to slime everyone else with it! Good luck!

  7. LiberalsRs....d says:

@piperni….just as I thought. You cannot identify anything about this woman that makes her a deserving target of such vicious criticism. No one set up a straw man argument. “Woman” is simply an adjective in this case. You try to state a case for a straw man just to dodge a substantial answer. And you dodge a substantial answer because your answer would make you look like the cretin you may well be. Nothing this woman has done or said is deserving of the vicious attacks you people have launched against her.

@melody….you’re response is too ignorant to rebut in any kind of depth. Let me just say the same to you as Piperni. Criticism? Sure. The vicious and personal attacks you people have engaged in? (Slutty Stewardess Look for instance.) are uncalled for and neither you, Piperni or any other loony zombie is willing to state why you criticize her so viscously.

That is unless you, Piperni and those who fawn over your stupidity think “She displayed for all to see her total lack of knowledge on all of the key issues. She botched every interview she gave ’cause she’s an intellectual lightweight.” is sufficient reason to question a person’s integrity, parenting abilities, actual parenthood, appearance, clothing, speech,…..EVERYTHING!

Makes you people look particularly hypocritical when you scream racism every time someone questions the policies or motives of President Empty Suit.

And back at Piperni…here’s the “Straw Man”: “I understand you’re hooked on her good looks and combined with your politics, you’re a Palin fan. Good for you but know that it’s people like you who are taking down the Republican party. Your narrow-mindedness and inability to see the truth…”

So, you make an ignorant statement that you cannot possibly know is factual based on your own bias, then refuse to form an intelligent and responsive answer.

And I can tell you why. Your answer makes you look like a fool. You think it’s fair game, no holds barred, gloves off in ridiculing Palin because she doesn’t agree with and is the antithesis of your morally corrupt life.

And that’s pretty much it. Palin may not be bright. She may have “botched every interview”. She may be an “intellectual lightweight”. But if you feel those things make her fair game for the personal assaults and character attacks, you are a pretty sorry excuse for a man.

  8. Hey liberal, take your pills and catch your breath. Good boy. I am not responsible for any personal attacks on the love of your life. I have attacked her politics and her intellect. If you can’t deal with that, I can’t help you. Have a good 4th.

  9. LiberalsRs....d says:

So with that, I assume you agree with me. The vicious, personal attacks are unwarranted, unnecessary and certainly unjustified. You aren’t being entirely candid though. Your attacks have been personal also but I will take you at your word and believe you didn’t mean them personally.

But the “love of your life” thing is pretty immature, don’t you think? I think the only thing you can possibly know about my thoughts on Palin are that many of the attacks from people like you, Melody and others are simply overboard and uncalled for.

    From Wonkette DC Gossip http://tinyurl.com/nzvth8
WIN OF THE AFTERNOON: In the middle of this monster Palin Chaos Theory post, commenter-person Alaska Girl reminds us why Sarah Palin’s latest “I’m gonna take my ball and go home” move is standard Wasilla Snowbilly behavior: “She didn’t finish her term as mayor, stepping down to run for Lt. Governor. She didn’t finish her term on the petroleum board ethics panel, she resigned in protest and then ran for Governor. She doesn’t want the office, she just likes running for office. She doesn’t want (can’t actually) accomplish anything, she just wants to talk about it.”

  11. Blue Heron says:

Smartest thing this woman has ever done, not dye her hair blonde.
