I’m not a David Gregory fan. Never liked the guy. But it appears that the smartest thing they’ve done over at NBC in the last while is having Rachel Maddow as a regular. Every appearance by Maddow has been a ratings boost for the network with last week’s show drawing over 4 million viewers giving it first place among the Sunday talk shows. There is no one on air at the moment who presents fact and opinion in as refreshing, articulate and clear a manner as Maddow. She is everything a Glenn Beck is not.
Open thread. I’m off to the beach for an early morning walk.

Rachel is very smart and has her facts down. If she makes a mistake, she readily admits it on her own show, but she seldom has to do that. Her influence has gotten some of the mainstream media to take a look at the hypocrisy exuded by the Republicans, which they had avoided before she began to feature it in her own show on MSNBC,
David Gregory is a twirp. As hard as he tries, he just does not have the gravitas or skills that Tim Russert had. It is going to be hard to fill his shoes. I was surprised that Gregory got the job. Before Gregory had Rachel on, his panel was heavily Republican leaning. The worst of which is Peggy Noonan, from the WSJ. When she shuts her eyes and starts to drone on about Obama, I switched channels.
maddow is the best they have. even matthews is off as far as i am concerned and everyone else is getting tiring.
they needed a new young energetic individual!
