Ok, I think I know how to get conservative support for the Dems health care bills. Reps have been in a frenzy over “socialized” medicine…it’s going to bring on the end of civilization as we know it, blah, blah, blah. Whatever. But, I’m thinking, what if we can show them that socialized medicine has a few benefits which can really really help these guys out?
I give you Cuba!
Cuba has announced that it is offering government-funded penile implants free of charge to its citizens across the island. The initiative will be available nation-wide as part of its national healthcare program.
According to urologist Juan Carlos Yip, the procedure “will be carried out in patients whose sexual suffering does not respond positively to traditional treatments.” He added that the universal program is a step forward for Cuba’s medical community, as penile implants are “normally exclusive to first-world countries and at a high cost”.
No one’s going to tell me that John Boehner (pun not intended…alright, somewhat fully intended), Rush Limbaugh and of course, Ann Coulter, would not instantly jump on board the socialized medicine bandwagon if they found out that penile implants could be gotten for free!
I’m lovin’ this idea.

Bloody Brilliant, Mario. We should all tweet, email, and call the Republican members (pun not intended) of Congress to let them know about this. After all, they already smoke Cuban cigars……
I don’t know Mario. I guess it would all depend on how great a need there might be. (Love the commercial that starts out, “Is vi ag ra and ci al is letting you down??)

Mario, you know that people would be lining up for penile implants whether they needed them or not just because they were free.

I agree! Ann’s always wanted a functional zipper, perhaps she can relocate to Cuba and take advantage of their health care system.
I have a BIG problem with this post. Especially appalling is the below the belt comment about Ann Coulter. These pointed remarks by no means represent the kind of penetrating analysis you are capable of. I thought, with this site, you were trying to erect something meaningful in our political intercourse.
