Write this down. “Sex is not about fun.”

Jerome Corsi quote - sex : http://mariopiperni.com/

Tell me that these people are not living, breathing, cartoon characters right out of an animated film from Bizarro world. Here is Corsi’s full quote in regards to same-sex marriage.

“Our founding fathers knew that if we went this direction, there was no more moral compass and you won’t be able to explain to your children — you’ll have to face the fact that we lost holding the line on one of the most principle issues in the Bible, and that is sex is not about fun. If you want to have fun, read a book, go to a movie. Sex is about the procreation of children. It’s a sacred responsibility that is meant by God to have men and women commit their lifetime to children.”

Right. Everyone knows that the founding fathers were dead set against marriage equality. So much so, it’s surprising that they didn’t actually insert a clause in the Constitution espousing that particular view. Good one, Jerome.

As for his critics, Corsi has this to say.

“Well, they want to call me a racist? Go ahead.

“Want to call me a bigot? Go ahead.

“But I’m not going to be judged on what somebody called me, I’m going to be judged on the adherence to God’s law.”

Corsi is a proud birther and homophobe so I do need to call him a racist and bigot. Racist. Bigot.

As for judgement day…Corsi had just better hope that his god doesn’t judge him on the degree of ignorance and hate that fill his little mind and soul.

no fun for him. . .

Okay, let me just look up a movie on the Internet. Here’s one… Oh, look! ;)

  3. Charlie Sommers says:

My Bad! I seem to recall having done it for fun a few times. If I had only done it for procreation I would have done it twice in my life.

Corsi should read what The Reverend Debra W. Haffner who is the Director of the Religious Institute on Sexual Morality, Justice, and Healing and an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister has to say on the subject. If he thinks he is such a good Christian perhaps he should read the Bible also.

Reverend Haffner says, “The importance of sexual intercourse and the role of desire appear numerous times in Genesis. Eve is told that despite the pain of childbirth, “your desire shall be for your husband” (Gen 3:16). Divine beings were said to desire the beautiful human women (Gen 6:2). Sarah describes sexual intercourse as “pleasure” (Genesis 18:12). Isaac is noticed “fondling his wife Rebekah” (Gen 26:8). Leah and Rachel negotiate for Jacob’s sexual favors (Gen 30:14-16). Potiphar’s wife strongly desires Joseph and asks him to sleep with her (Gen 39:7). Intercourse itself is also frequently and publicly accounted for in Genesis: Adam “knew his wife Eve” (Gen 4:1). “Cain knew his wife” (Gen 4:17). “Adam knew his wife again” (Gen 4:25). And so on.”

  4. GoldenSun says:

This article, and the many others indicating the stupidity rampant in our Country in general but mostly seen in the societal circle of right wing/Republicans, reminds me of something I read recently:

“Fifty years to the day from the discovery of the structure of DNA, one of its co-discoverers has caused a storm by suggesting that stupidity is a genetic disease that should be cured.

On 28 February 1953 biologists James Watson and Francis Crick discovered the structure of DNA – the chemical code for all life. The breakthrough revealed how genetic information is passed from one generation to the next and revolutionised biology and medicine.

In a documentary series to be screened in the UK on Channel 4, Watson says that low intelligence is an inherited disorder and that molecular biologists have a duty to devise gene therapies or screening tests to tackle stupidity.

“If you are really stupid, I would call that a disease,” says Watson, now president of the Cold Spring Harbour Laboratory, New York.”

I am now thoroughly convinced that right wing STUPIDITY is a DISEASE stemming from “genetic information misinformation passed from one generation to the next.”

  5. Carol says:

I don’t believe a word of it, Corsi.
Look me straight in the eye and tell me you didn’t LIKE IT…and that, dear sir, =”FUN”.
And if you truly haven’t, if you’ve so trained your mind to feel “holy” and only had sex for procreation, you’ve missed one of life’s fleeting pleasures.

Roman Catholic. Divorced. Big No- No in the church. 2 wives 1 child.

Enough said about his views on sex.

  8. Charlie Sommers says:

So Corsi is a member of the Constitution Party. Their main objective is restoring everything to the original guidelines in that document as they think the founding fathers intended. I wonder if they know that Thomas Jefferson, who had considerable influence on the content of that paper, suggested that it be rewritten every 19 years? Old Tom was no dummy and said that an unchanged constitution stifled freedom and held us enslaved to a past generation’s ideals.

  9. Sydney says:

Where’s to start? The founders could of never imagined the world as we know it today, so why, do the RWNJs insist on running this country solely on what was written over 2 centuries ago?

And…..there is no bible in our constitution and you can bet your last dollar that if they envisioned a country based on their bibilical beliefs, they would of written it that way.

And sex is not for fun??? This clowns tinfoil hat is a little too tight.

  10. Katrina S. says:

Methinks that Corsi forgot what the Founding Fathers said about the separation of Church and State. While many of them were people of faith, they firmly believed that their new nation should not be governed by any group’s religious beliefs.

So, there, Mr. Corsi, you wingnut!

p.s. I am pretty sure the Founding Fathers didn’t believe sex was for procreation only. Case in point: Benjamin Franklin.

  11. morton weiss says:

I was going to post a comment but i realized that the Repugs are so stupid that they wouldn’t understand what was being written. Is it my imagination or are there many more stupid Repugs in congress than Dems, can anyone name some Dems that are as stupid as Bachmann,Gohmet ,Inhofe and etc.

  12. Michael McGee says:

You don’t have to be a complete moron to be a conservative these days, but it sure helps.

  13. Gary D. says:

Charlie, your first comment with all them there bible quotes didn’t say a thing about ‘Fun’.
You’re not, by any chance, making up your own interpretation are ya? “Knowing” somebody isn’t always consistent with fun.
Get with the program. Corsi is a genius. The Messiah loved the movies, don’t ya know. And his buddies wrote a best selling book so we know how he felt about good books. How about a book that makes it into a movie, WOW. Bingo? Talk about FUN!!

  14. Charlie Sommers says:

Gary D.; Sarah said in Genesis “After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” I interpret pleasure as being pretty much the same as fun so I believe that old Sarah enjoyed an occasional roll in the hay even in her dotage, at least when Abraham was able to get it up.

  15. Mike says:

There’s an old saying – “Do you ever wish that some people on your side, weren’t?” Then I remembered .. guys like Corsi AIN’T on my side, so no worry. I like it that many of you quoted DIRECTLY from the BIble to refute this liar’s nonsense.

  16. fidlerten says:

Let me correct Corsi concerning “Judgement” with a quote from the bible that he professes to believe in:

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5

The more he judges others, the more he will be judged and with that same measure he judges with.

  17. Rank Limme says:

Jesus H. swimming with the nuns Christ.
Stay out of people’s private lives and homes, Corsi, you f****g freak.

It goes to show – you can be an academic heavyweight, but it doesn’t mean you have:
    a. common sense;
    b. the ability to put coherent thoughts together;
    c. apathy for your fellow human beings.

I used to think having a PhD was the ultimate goal to attain in life, but after I met or read about a a few of them – i.e. Corsi – I decided I was happier with just a Bachelor’s.

    A disgrace to humankind.

  18. Cheryl says:

What he really means is that it is not any fun for his wife. I have no doubt about that.

    He’s not doing it right….

  19. Charlie Sommers says:

Several years ago I read an anecdote about sex that I think is worth passing on. A lady, I have forgotten who, was asked by her seven year old daughter where babies came from. The woman hesitated momentarily, considered evading the question, but then deciding that honesty is the best policy in all cases, explained the process.

The little girl’s face filled with revulsion as she said, “ewwwww! I’ve got a brother so that means you and daddy did that twice.”

  20. Gary D. says:

I recall a story about a child asked where he came from and after a long, detailed explanation from his father about the birds & bees the boy had a very confused look on his face an exclaimed, “Wow, my friend Bobby told me he came from Toledo”.

  21. Robert says:

Well, It can’t be too much fun if’n ya can’t “get it up”…but they have pills for that…or the problem could be “oral” or lack there of…sometimes it is fun all by yourself, no insults, no pressure to perform, and there are “twins” so to speak…Rosie Palm and her five sisters can be such sluts…

  22. Carol says:

Oh, how I wish I could see the faces on the NSA weekend staff, combing through this post… :- )

  23. Gary D. says:

Watch out, Carol, the boys at NSA may not want you talkin’ about their ‘staff’.

  24. ian says:

However much he may claim to speak for God, it is all a question of perspective. If God “meant” anything at all with regards to sex, it was that it should be fun.

  25. MDavis says:

Thanks for the post. Here from C&L

@ Rank Limme , for c – I think he demonstrates plenty of ‘apathy for your fellow human beings.’ But maybe you meant empathy here.

  26. James M. Martin says:

Naturally he is down on religion, being a Catholic (taught from birth it is wrong to have sex for any reason but having children–if married). He might have joined the priesthood, but presumably he is not into pedophilia.

  27. Henry Bemis says:

Wouldn’t it be great if religion was treated like sex.It could only be engaged in by consenting adults,it was done in private and never talked about in polite company, anything less is coarse and barbaric.

  28. Carol says:

Henry….(forgive me but I must say) AMEN!
