And they claim that atheists are immoral?
The ugly side of religion shows its face once again. The words below were spoken at a Sunday sermon by Sean Harris, a pastor in Fayettesville, North Carolina. Audio at end of post.
So your little son starts to act a little girlish when he is four years old and instead of squashing that like a cockroach and saying, “Man up, son, get that dress off you and get outside and dig a ditch, because that is what boys do,” you get out the camera and you start taking pictures of Johnny acting like a female and then you upload it to YouTube and everybody laughs about it and the next thing you know, this dude, this kid is acting out childhood fantasies that should have been squashed.
Can I make it any clearer? Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok? You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male. And when your daughter starts acting to Butch you reign her in. And you say, “Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up.”
You say, “Can I take charge like that as a parent?”
Yeah, you can. You are authorized. I just gave you a special dispensation this morning to do that.
Limp wrists, cracked wrists and a good punch. Boys dig ditches and girls smell good. How complicated is that to understand?
Not at all…if you happen to be a bigoted, ignorant fuck who uses his idea of what his God wants as an excuse to spread hate. And, btw, when did calling oneself a ‘pastor’ give license to incite others to inflict harm on children?
Meanwhile, a couple of real cockroaches were doing there thing to help get the message out on that anti-gay thing.
Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association got it going by adding his twist on Martin Luther King’s dream about his children one day living “in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
…you begin to see the implications when it comes to homosexuality because you’re dealing there with issues of content of character and you are dealing with issues of behavior and conduct and it’s perfectly appropriate to discriminate against immoral conduct.
Are you understanding all this yet? I hope so because it’s really important for everyone to understand how they can cure teh gay. First of all, parents should do all they can to “squash” any signs of homosexuality in their children, going as far as to inflict physical harm on the child to remove the gay disease. But if that fails and the child does somehow grow up to become a gay adult, you might try sending them out for reparative therapy at, say, Bachmann & Associates. That should fix the problem…but if it doesn’t, it then becomes acceptable for the rest of society to discriminate against the gay vermin…’cause you know that it’s what God would want.
And who, do you ask, is to blame for all those unreasonable gay folk insisting on being treated as if they were normal? Dumb question. Obama, of course.
The Obama administration has turned the United States into a huge gay-rights government. There’s lots of government and states, whether they’re Muslim or like ardently Christian nations like Uganda that don’t want, they don’t share the caviler attitude of the West toward homosexuality, they certainly don’t want to promote it. And all of a sudden Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have turned the United States into a pro-homosexual regime and it’s just despicable.
That was Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality.
You can add to the mix of homophobic assholes the entire conservative movement which has upped its anti-gay rage. So much so that Richard Grenell, Mitt Romney’s newly appointed and openly gay national security spokesman, was forced to resign over pressure from anti-gay conservatives. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how any gay person chooses to remain a Republican.
So there you go…the rantings of three homophobic, conservative, religious zealots who will all be voting for Mitt Romney next November. Surprise.

Here’s the irony – these are the same folks that keep getting caught with male prositutes or having a wide stance in a men’s bathroom. Maybe it’s just the gays in a committed relationship that bug them.
Just listened to the “Pastor”, do all of them get so shouty and excited?
I don’t believe in God or gods but if there was one, I would like to believe he’d be disgusted with this pastor and anyone else who use his name to further intolerance and hate in this world.
How do these idiots explain the fact that all gays come from heterosexual sex.Why would anyone choose to be gay and suffer the slings and arrows of these idiots.Being gay is like choosing to be tall or short.how can they explain gay animals Do animals also choose.Their stupidity is beyond comprehension.
Just what all gay children need — not only to have their peers bully, taunt, and ostrasize them, but have their parents turn on them too. Recipe for suicide!
I happen to be a gay man and a Christian. I know that people like that thinks the very idea of someone being gay and being a Christian at the same time is some kind of Oxymoron but then; I really don’t care what they think, only what God thinks and He and I get along just fine.
It almost brings me to tears just hearing such hateful crap like that coming from people who claim to be God’s people. I spent years on my knees before God asking Him to either cure me from being gay or to simply let me die right then and there when I was prayed up and forgiven.
It wasn’t until years later when I was going to therapy because of the depression I was going through, trying to be a Christian with gay desires. My therapist told me after many visits that I was very much a Christian but I was also very much gay. And, the problem was that I could be one or the other but not both at the same time. The only way for me to be happy was to accept both at the same time. It was a big realization for me. It still took me years to accept that fact.
It’s easy to understand why so many gay teens commit suicide when they come from families who are like that pastor. My family wasn’t that bad but I still tried killing myself several times because of the constant guilt of being who I was but unable to change.
I’m now very at peace with myself and God and nothing anyone says can change that. All I can say to gay teens now is “It gets better and they don’t have to listen to those hateful lies. God loves them and always will.”
Excellent, fidlerten. I applaud you for your honesty and conviction.
Thanks Mario!
Very well put fidlerten, I am the father of a son that I recognized as gay when he was about six years old. I never tried to change him because I knew it would be impossible and I didn’t want to make him miserable. I couldn’t ask for a better son and the man he married in a civil service, during the window of legality in California, is not only a cherished member of my family but my favorite son-in-law.
Sean Harris may call himself a Christian but he is no closer to being a real Christian than Osama bin Laden was to being a peace loving Muslim.
Charlie — your son couldn’t ask for a better father. :-)
Charlie,
All I can say is; God bless you for being such a loving and understanding father, which to me is so much more like our Heavenly Father than Mr. Harris ever could dream to be.
@Charlie Sommers: You sound like a great dad and dad to a great son. I have no doubt he makes you proud. God Bless you and your family.
Thanks to all of you for your encouraging words. My son leads a great life and is heavily involved with helping others. I couldn’t be prouder.
