Tennessean says: “I find it particularly telling that none of you people find merit in ANY opposition to the Health Care Reform measures before Congress.”

And I find it telling that none of your people find merit in ANY part of the h/c reform proposals which would enact real change in making health care affordable for all. The republican game is to preserve the status quo and hope that health care takes down the president. Trying to make it anything else is a lie.

Pretty well sums it up and makes my point for me. Any “opposition” is viewed as “part of the problem”. So much for rational discourse.

I’m not thrilled with the expanded Medicare buy-in proposal as an alternative to the public option. But we haven’t seen any cost projections for citizens who want to buy in either.

It looks like the Senate has back-pedaled out of meaningful reform to try to gain 60 votes and it’s still not enough for Lieberman. Nothing will be enough for him until it satisfies the insurance industry.

We’re no longer talking about “the perfect being the enemy of the good.” We’re talking about “the really bad and ineffectual being the enemy of the good.”
