Increases in skin cancer brought on by exposure to the sun has brought about a greater awareness that we cannot sit idly by and expect skin cancer rates to decrease without some type of action on our parts. This is why there are increased calls to lessen our time in the sun and to use sunblock when we leave ourselves exposed. This is why many schools in Australia include sunglasses as part of the school uniform.
It’s not about outlawing sunshine. Instead it’s about sun control…just like the latest fervor over guns is not about outlawing them. It’s about gun control.
