Gun Shows Exposed

This is disturbing.
.

.

You know as soon as they try to close the loophole, the NRA will go berserk.  There’s no reasoning with fanatics.

  1. BlancaCarta says:

Why are they still allowing this loophole? Is our system so screwed up that we can’t fix obvious flaws? This is ridiculous and dangerous.

  2. RDS says:

The real issue with the NRA is not gun rights. The NRA’s primary mission is to arm criminals and subvert the law that felons may not own firearms.

  3. Dahl says:

@BlancaCarta There are more gun sales in the parking lots of Gun Shows than inside the gun show itself. So closing the loophole will do absolutely nothing to stop the sale of guns to criminals at gun shows.

Criminals meet with either the seller or the buyer in the parking lot and the cash sale goes down with no written receipt or any trail. Some people bring their own guns and just stand by their cars waiting for buyers. There are a few gun dealers that make it known where they will be “havin’ a cold one” after the show and make the deal latter in that parking lot if they think a narc is moving around the room. I know about this only because a relative goes to about every gun show in a 100 radius and he has probably seen it all.

Gun shows are mostly legitimate for hunters and collectors. But for others a gun show is just advertising the address of where the guns are.

  4. Anomaly100 says:

“Ah hurd that Obummer’s gonna take away mah guns! Ah am gonna git as many as I cain. No one’s takin’ away mah Constitutiaahnal rights. They is gonna have ta pry mah guns away from my cold dead fangers. All of ‘em. All 149 of mah guns.”

Oh, sorry, I thought I was at a Palin rally for a second. Guns are selling out, they’re out of ammo & can’t restock fast enough. I don’t mind guns, but I do mind it if my neighbors are hoarding & stockpiling weapons. Do you think they would have allowed guns anywhere near Bush? But, if it’s Obama, it’s okay. I’m glad there’s some attention on these illegal sales.

  5. Tennessean says:

Anomaly, that’s a very bigoted and prejudiced manner of presenting a thought.

Classic elitist misconception. “Southern Drawl = Stupid.”

  6. Anomaly100 says:

@Tennessean: I am Southern(N’awlins, Louisiana to be exact)& so were all the people at the gun show that were speaking. It is what it is. You don’t hear people here in NY saying that President Obama is going to take away our guns, do you? It’s a midwestern & Southern misconception brought to them through television via Glenn Beck, et al. We’ve got him to thank.

It was nothing personal directed to you, Tennessean. I’ve said it before. You have a good mind. I’m just not happy about how you choose to use it.

  7. Tennessean says:

Anomaly, if so, then you should be ashamed.

Without addressing the false impression you try to draw about the intelligence of “midwestern & Southern” people, are you trying to say only those two groups are concerned about 2nd amendment rights? And only then because of Glenn Beck? The arrogance and smugness of you people never ceases to surprise me.

Regardless of what you may or may not think about my mind or how I choose to use it, I have never had anything but disgust, contempt and utter disdain for the type of stereotypical ignorance you exhibit here.

You say, “It’s a midwestern & Southern misconception brought to them through television via Glenn Beck, et al.”

I disagree. It’s stupidity such as what you have written here that perpetuates that misconception.

“Why don’t youse guys run get a pop and we’ll talk it over.”

  8. Dahl says:

@Tennessean you said: “Why don’t youse guys run get a pop and we’ll talk it over.”

You said that to us 9 years ago. Well we’re back and look at the mess you made all by yourself. Now go to your room and think about what you have done. No more pop, you ‘guys’ made it too expensive

  9. Anomaly100 says:

@Tennessean: You say I am beneath contempt for stereotyping? Are you serious! First, may I draw your attention to another of your comments? “On Top Of The World”, you inferred that people that don’t have the opportunities that most of us have, are lazy. While we’re at it, remember the Palin rallies targetted the midwestern states. It wasn’t me stereotyping. Glenn Beck hosted the teaparties. He practically put on an apron & served tea! They are his chosen people. He stereotyped them. My southern roots go way back. I’m proud of them. I am not proud of the people that fell for this crap.

Your party is infested with racism & its stereotypical nature & on again/off again moral code is beyond words. Its support of torture now & mention it later, is unconscionable. It’s support of war before any disucussion whatsoever, while our young American adults spill blood in the battle field is horrific. Their condoning of invading a sovereign country under false assumptions, is astounding.Your party’s birthers & Obama=Hitler meme makes me ill. It’s ostracized every person that doesn’t fit into their mold. I do not stereotype people. Your leaders have done that. Don’t throw that at me. You’re surrounded by it. They’re called, “Republicans.”

  10. Anomaly100 says:

@Tennessean: For the record, saying you’re intelligent doesn’t mean I want to be your BFF. Karl Rove is intelligent but I would never…ever want to break bread with him.

Bipartisanship! What for? I can’t even speak to you guys. I’ve tried and tried on several websites. I don’t even like most of you. I just thought some things could be reasoned out. Maybe that’s what the President thinks too. Thank God he’s a better person than I am. I would have given up around March. He’s still trying, yet ya’ll never give him a shot.

  11. Anomaly100 says:

@Dahl: Thanks for making me smile! I was pissed off. Much better now!

  12. Tennessean says:

Anomaly, You took the words right out of my mouth. A perfect reflection of my sentiments.

“Bipartisanship! What for? I can’t even speak to you guys. I’ve tried and tried on several websites. I don’t even like most of you.”

  13. Jovial says:

    God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;and wisdom to know the difference.

Republicans! Republicans ! You need to give way to other ideas. You need at least an eight year break so we can bring prosperity not just from the inside but the outside. The world depends on us because we can’t do it alone

  14. Anomaly100 says:

@Jovial: I know the serenity prayer all too well. It’s good to be reminded of it now and then!
