Really it is more the southern White male, once the economy turns,(and I believe the president is really trying) his popularity will go way up accept maybe in parts of the south.
Janine is right, the very word Conservative means to keep the same, tradition, old school, obedient and proper. Thesaurus even says unadventurous. They want to go back to the 40’s and 50’s when life was calm and peaceful (well accept for those air-raid sirens every Freaking third Friday of the month) when we were just coming to the end of the Stepford Wives era – god men miss that. Things were always kept properly hidden under the rug, we did not discuss our dirty laundry in public and children were seen and not heard. Republicans do not have a predilection for reality. GOP main focus is for Business, power and capitalism.
The word Liberal means just that. To be liberated, free, open minded, tolerant, laissez-faire (a bit too much at times) They want to go forward and see what’s over the hill, what IS the moon made of, love to ask questions and let people be themselves as long as no one is getting hurt. They may ask “why do people do that?” But never or rarely tell people what they must or must not do based on a religious or moral concept. Liberals are the Labor party with a main focus on the consumer.
They are probably all over the place with a concentration in the south because it is the “Bible Belt” Does that sound about right?
