If this, if the IPCC had been done by Japanese scientists, there’s not enough knives on planet Earth for hara-kiri that should have occurred. I mean, these guys have so dishonored themselves, so dishonored scientists.
The joint science academies of Australia, Belarus, Canada, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, China, Romania, Russia, UK and the United States had this to say about the IPCC…
“The work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) represents the consensus of the international scientific community on climate change science. We recognise IPCC as the world’s most reliable source of information on climate change and its causes, and we endorse its method of achieving this consensus.”
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says…
Internationally, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)… is the most senior and authoritative body providing scientific advice to global policy makers.
While the European Geosciences Union chimes in with…
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change…is the main representative of the global scientific community….IPCC third assessment report…represents the state-of-the-art of climate science supported by the major science academies around the world and by the vast majority of scientific researchers and investigations as documented by the peer-reviewed scientific literature.
Now who to believe? Beck or the greatest science academies the world has to offer?
Tough choice. .

Remember, keep on repeating the lie often enough and in time, enough fools will believe you. Fox and other global warming deniers are chuckling away, believing that the East Coast snowstorms somehow invalidate the concept of global warming.
Fox News took advantage of today’s East Coast blizzard to prove some point or other about Al Gore on Cavuto this afternoon. Guest host Eric Bolling did color commentary as a copy of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” was placed outside Fox News HQ to prove, it seems, that today’s record-breaking snowfall that shut down infrastructure in at least three major cities proves that Gore’s climate change warnings are without merit.
“Poor Al Gore,” Bolling told viewers as the snow piled up around Gore’s book on air. “We should get a camera outside his house.”
See video at end of post. In fact, these record snowstorms are more an indicator of global warming than not.
The 2009 U.S. Climate Impacts Report found that large-scale cold-weather storm systems have gradually tracked to the north in the U.S. over the past 50 years. While the frequency of storms in the middle latitudes has decreased as the climate has warmed, the intensity of those storms has increased. That’s in part because of global warming – hotter air can hold more moisture, so when a storm gathers it can unleash massive amounts of snow.
But as far as winter storms go, shouldn’t climate change make it too warm for snow to fall? Eventually that is likely to happen – but probably not for a while. In the meantime, warmer air could be supercharged with moisture and, as long as the temperature remains below 32°F, it will result in blizzards rather than drenching winter rainstorms.
Burying Gore’s book in a snowbank, while cutesy, only helps in demonstrating Fox’s complete lack of integrity and unwillingness to deal in honest journalism. Unfortunately, they have an audience dumb enough to accept it all ’cause it’s easier to believe what some teevee guy says than actually trying to understand the science behind it all. .

In predictable fashion, global warming deniers and political opportunists are making much of the snowstorms which have hit the country. In their puny minds, snow means cold and cold means there is no global warming. Simple…and stupid.
As I’ve written before, weather and climate are not the same thing.
Weather is “the conditions in the atmosphere in a certain place during a certain time. Weather is always changing.”
Climate is “what the weather is generally like over long periods of time, such as years or decades in a particular area. A place that has little rainfall has a dry climate, and a place that has high temperatures has a hot climate.”
They don’t want to understand because it destroys their little narrative.

Here’s how it works in the world of anti-science, global warming misinformation.
1. Fabricate a complete and total lie by claiming that a world-renowned climatologist said something which favors your position on climate change. e.g. there will be a 30 year cycle of global cooling.
2. Publish it in some rag of a newspaper.
3. Then wait for other discredited and fraudulent ‘news’ media (e.g. Fox News) to pick up the story and run with it.
4. Completely ignore the world-renowned climatologist when he says this about your lie…
“I don’t know what to do. They just make these things up.”
5. Be content knowing that other fools who read the rags or tune into the lie-fest at Fox will never know that it was a lie to begin with because there will be no retraction. Fox is not about truth or fact. This is clear.
6. And finally, be even more pleased in knowing that these same fools will propagate your misinformation to other dimwits who just like them, don’t know any better…which, of course, is all you really wanted in the first place.

Ex-beauty contestants, drive-time DJs, TV sports announcers, hairstylists, newspaper columnists — basically anybody whose math skills topped out in the 10th grade — rarely have anything substantive to add to the sum of technical and scientific knowledge. That’s what they most resent about it.
It’s not impossible that such persons could educate themselves sufficiently to have an informed opinion, but it’s rare. Most of us, most of the time, are like historian and blogger Josh Marshall: “The fact that the vast majority of people with specialized knowledge in the field think there’s a problem is good enough for me,” he wrote. “I can’t be knowledgeable about everything. And I’m comfortable with the modern system in which the opinions of really knowledgeable people with expertise counts more in cases like this than people who know nothing at all.“
Exactly! Ask your run-of-the-mill conservative climate change denier why he/she feel as they do and all you get is some mumbo-jumbo about their opinion being no less relevant than your own. They have no real answer and they’d be reluctant to state the real reason they’re deniers (assuming they have the awareness level to fully understand their position).
Let me help them. They’re deniers because their favorite political teevee or radio personality is a denier and/or they hear Republican politicians like Inhofe claim that global warming is a hoax. They salivate each and every time great climatologist and physicist Michele Bachmann claims that CO2 is tasteless, odourless and harmless and are too intellectually lazy to check out the facts.
That’s it. That’s all it takes for these dunderheads to adopt a position of ignorance. There’s no other reason. They’d rather follow the word of conservative non-scientists then that of the world’s leading scientists.
However, the kind of worldwide conspiracy conjured by global climate change deniers like Palin, Hannity and the rest — that is, as an evidence-free, religio-political cult that’s the mirror image of their own movement — simply can’t exist in a scientific context. Meanwhile, Arctic sea ice is vanishing, glaciers melting, sea levels rising, droughts and floods increasing, and the past decade — according to the World Meteorological Organization — was the warmest in recorded history.
But hey, look over there: some elitist e-mails!
