  1. Frances says:

Everyone else – “What actually happened?”

Fox News – “What will people believe?”

  2. Lancaster says:

Typical day at Fox. They did the exact same thing at the 9-12 rally. They used old footage to make their hapless audience believe there were over a million people.

  3. Tennessean says:

Hey Frances, catch that fallacy there in Lancaster’s post??

  4. laurieD says:

    Fox lying? I’m shocked.

  5. H M Bascom says:

LMAO Can even the most dedicated Faux News viewer defend this obvious “cut and paste” job? My guess is, they will try.

  6. Frances says:

TN, if you have a problem with Lancaster’s comment, take it up with him.

  7. Frances says:

I don’t know about anyone else, but when a “news source” is caught intentionally lying, it would seem the prudent thing to do to designate that organization as not being credible. How many chances do you give someone to lie to you before you stop trusting them? If you’re the average person, not many.

  8. Tennessean says:

Frances, I just have a problem with hypocrisy. I don’t make ideological exceptions.

For the record, I don’t care for Hannity. But I know Fox is not the only network to do stuff like this. Just as I know I’m not the only individual who sometimes utilizes a fallacious manner of debate.

I repeat, I’m not a fan or hypocrisy, regardless the source.

  9. Frances says:

The difference between Fox News and other organizations is called “integrity”. Because they are a cable network, they are not required by the FCC to have journalistic integrity, so they choose not to have it. They are the infomercial of news networks.

  10. Tennessean says:

The biggest “difference” between Fox and the other organizations, and the one that disturbs you guys the most is they do not pander to liberals and the left. They present the other side of what all the other networks present.

Do they screw up from time to time? Sure. Are they slanted toward the Right and Conservative views? Most of the time. Is their bias or error any greater than say, MSNBC? No.

Hannity’s error, whether inadvertant or not is no worse than Olberman sitting behind a “News” desk, tittering gleefully and agreeing with Garafalo that everyone that disagrees with the policies of this President are nothing but Racist, Teabagging Rednecks.

Okay now, here comes Chester/Anomaly/Chester, carrying Frances’ train, telling me how I’m defending FNC…..

  11. TonyM says:

“…Olberman sitting behind a “News” desk, tittering gleefully and agreeing with Garafalo that everyone that disagrees with the policies of this President are nothing but Racist, Teabagging Rednecks.”

Can you back up that statement? If not, then what are your comments good for? Anyone can write anything here. You write like fox reports.

  12. Frances says:

TN, I can’t help it if you don’t have any friends here.

“If you have a cerebral electorate, Fox News goes straight down the toilet.” – Janine Garofalo, comedian

I can see why you have a problem with her views.

  13. Tennessean says:

    Tony, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhkdO5_b_tQ&feature=related

A little less than a minute in, listen to Olbermann in the background.

    “Yeah. Uh-huh. That’s right.”

    You’re welcome.

  14. Tennessean says:

Frances, and I can see why you agree with this vile, disgusting, distasteful person.

I have several friends here. I just disagree, vehemently at times, with their politics. I would never be so shallow as to actually dislike someone simply because they view things differently than I do.

  15. Tennessean says:

Frances, Oh! btw, is this the “Cerebral Electorate” Garofalo was referring to??

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mm1KOBMg1Y8

  16. TonyM says:

That is your criticism of Olbermann? You are one desperate little wingnut. Garafolo was referring to teabaggers being racists and not as you wrote “everyone that disagrees with the policies of this president.” Climb back under your rock my friend. You’re giving wingnuts a bad name.

  17. DonnyBrook says:

Fox exposed once more. Hannity will claim that the 9/12 protest was also kind of about health care too, so it shouldn’t matter that his pants are on fire, because fire has a liberal bias, as do pants, video recordings, and the definition of the word “liar”.

  18. Tennessean says:

Tony, I disagree with your statement. Garafolo has made it abundantly clear in numerous interviews she views opposition to this Presidency as racist.

Btw, it wasn’t a criticism. It was more of a comparison. Neither Olberman, MSNBC OR Garafolo are relevant enough to worry about “criticizing”. ;-)

  19. Dahl says:

‘Most’ on the “right” never watch any other news station but Fox. They say “Oh I tried to watch those other channel’s but they make me so sick I had to turn it off.” Yup, they actually say that to me.

They will continue to ‘fight’ for whatever cause Fox scares them into believing and will remain blissfully unaware they are tools.

Tennessean says: “The biggest “difference” between Fox and the other organizations, and the one that disturbs you guys the most is they do not pander to liberals and the left. They present the other side of what all the other networks present”

And thank god they do not ‘pander to liberals and the left – I would NOT want Fox on my side. True – they “present” the other side with their own slant by Fox commentators with their own snide remarks that have created their reputation and draws in the Teabaggers (you don’t really believe Juan and the others are Liberals do you?) But they do not have Representatives of the opposite view.

  20. Frances says:

I don’t dislike you because you disagree with me TN.

  21. Frances says:

And thanks DonnyBrook – I had to squeegee my monitor after the fire and pants thing. :D

  22. Tennessean says:

Dahl says, “And thank god they do not ‘pander to liberals and the left”

That’s what MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and the rest are for.

  23. Frances says:

That’s too funny. All the other news sources are suspect to TN, except for Fox – the one that has the credibility of an infomercial.

  24. Tennessean says:

Frances, I didn’t say they were “suspect”. I only said they have a left/liberal slant and bias.

    Surely you don’t deny that?

  25. Frances says:

TN, I don’t deny that you believe all other news outlets have a liberal bias. BS is BS no matter where it occurs. If I see enough BS in one place, it’s a place that loses credibility with me.

See, there are things in the world that actually happen and then there are things that are made up. The stuff that actually happens gets reported by the AP and Reuters and picked up by newspapers, NBC, ABC and CBS. The stuff that gets made up gets reported by Fox News, and it is not a rare occasion that they have done the making up of stuff.

  26. defolts says:

Tngoposter, so you are saying that Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarborough are liberals, Democrats, that’s news to me. And what up coming ABC news Anchor Diane Sawyer? didn’t she work for Nixon? or was he a…

  27. Tennesseean says:

    defolts, are you addressing me?

  28. defolts says:

yes I am addressing you, usted, you do not have independent thoughts so you are a GOP poster, Diane sawyer got her start in the Nixon administration, Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan are Republicans, what fox does is much different, for everyone one of the factual errors you can prove (and not opinions) but errors made by the other outlets I will find at least 10 done by Fox. and you CONs never proved Obama being a racist, I have had very many negative experience with Blacks over the years, I would be the first to tell you if I thought he was racist, just not seeing it, I suppose I could listen to con talker, (I may go out to the car and listen to Levin on kfmb760) and they will take his words out of context, I have seen where he described what an older black said and the radio squawker attributed the remarks to Obama, Obama could talk about things that Hitler said and you guys would offer that up as proof as how Obama is. there is a reason you are CONservative.

  29. Tennessean says:

defolts, in that case….I made no mention of any of those people. I simply say while you guys cry in your Wheaties like a bunch of little girls about Fox News, pretty much the balance of the media displays a liberal/left bias.
