The Republican Plan For The Economy (You don’t want to know)

jackass http://mariopiperni.com/

.

What part of the last eight years is it that Republicans do not get?  To hear these people speak, it’s as if the Bush years never happened.

Senator Orrin Hatch

FOXBIZ: What are your solutions to jobs, the unemployment situation, rising health care costs, energy costs that are rising, inflation that is still a concern, how do we solve these issues right now? Are we trying to do too much too quickly?

HATCH: Number one you get the arrogance of power by throwing the Democrats and get the control back into conservative Republican hands. Number two we should not do away with the Bush tax cuts, those marginal tax cuts are a major help to try and keep the economy going. Number three we should use fifty state labratories to do health care.

Wonderful. So Hatch is telling us that the way to get the economy back on track is to let Republicans attain power so that they could implement the same failed policies which in large part got the economy to where it’s at now.

During the last year of President Bush’s term, the median household income in the United States dropped 3.6 percent to $50,303, the sharpest drop since the government began keeping records in 1947. During Bush’s tenure, the number of Americans in poverty increased 26.1 percent, while child poverty jumped 21.4 percent. In total, the Bush years saw 8.3 million people fall into poverty.

Was it all misery? Nope. There was one demographic which did quite well under Bush.

The Congressional Budget Office found in 2007 that families “earning more than $1 million a year saw their federal tax rates drop more sharply than any group in the country as a result of President Bush’s tax cuts,” prompting the New York Times to conclude that “rich families were the undisputed winners from President Bush’s tax cuts.”

  1. Frances says:

Well, you would expect that Hatch would want to see his party restored to power. But I think he already has the arrogance of thinking that conservatives are the only solution to the problems that were created over the last 10 years.

  2. Orrin Hatch, Glenn Beck, Mitt Romney,

Are all examples of what Mormons are really like in Utah.
Many people dont realize that the Mormon Church is an Occult and a business, their history will reflect that.
They are trying to convert people to their religion, by producing more women in their culture to breed and convert men.
They are all nearly inbred and all look alike and think alike.
The Mormon Church has its Control over EVERYTHING in the State of Utah, from the laws to who gets the jobs and keeps them and who gets the higher paying jobs and who keeps them and who survives there and who doesnt.
They tax liquor and everything else they can there. Most Mormons who do not grow up there or convert in other states do not know who these people really are or know their true nature and character.
The prop 8 bill in CA was a good example of the mormon church funding politics.
    yet if one googles female teachers sex scandals etc;
they will find many from Utah, but that aside their religion is a business and they treat it as such.
they excommunicate people that cant pay their 10 percent or they cant enslave.
their bishops use bringing women from other countries to use them in the sex slave industry amongst themselves.
these people got their hands in every business and law they can to control the money , power and the people .
They have moved into Las Vegas political system, and between them and californians they are fighting for political control and power.
They will network to get each others contracts and to keep out non mormon outsiders. that means they are very selfish and prejudicial.
Thats the way they work and conduct business, staunch polygs and corrupt people.

  3. Mormon Propaganda. This isn’t a space for intolerance, let alone poorly crafted and barely intelligible dribble like your response. I grew up in and spent the first 34 years of my life in Las Vegas. Mormons are involved in Las Vegas politics, as they were the first European settlers in the valley. When the casino industry began to go legit in the 60′s under Howard Hughes, it turned to Mormon bankers to handle the books. I am positive that there are backwards and amoral members of LDS; as I know that people fitting that description exist in all religions populated by humans. I can also, however, think of dozens of despicable traditions in “mainstream” religions, some of which have been highlighted by Mario recently (the Richard Cohen piece). I don’t like Orin Hatch’s politics, but I believe him to be a decent man, and think that using him (or Beck for that matter)to slam and entire community of Americans is a travesty. Basically, my message to you Mr. Propoganda is; sit down and shut up! Else go away and be done with your garbage.
As to the content of the post…the screen shot says everything you need to know. Hatch’s quote, “…if a bill can’t get 75-80 votes, its a lousy bill.” Earlier he was ranting about keeping Bush’s tax cuts in force…the very tax cuts that required budget reconciliation to pass 51-49. Have a nice day!
