A quick blurb here to say that Michelle’s speech in Charlotte is one of the finest I’ve heard in a long while. I had forgotten how good she is. There was no part of the speech that came across as forced. It was smart, personal and honest.
Being president doesn’t change who you are. It reveals who you are.
I am so jassed I am standing here beside myself. Should we compare Ann to Michelle? I guess that would be a no contest.
What about Castro v. Rubio I like that contest.
If I were to use one word to sum up the difference between the 2 conventions It would be authenticity. They came across as just saying what they thought their base wanted to hear. The dems really came across as genuine, no one more genuine than Michelle Obama.
Democrats came across as the party of inclusion. After the Castro and Michelle Obama speeches, Democrats look so unified and we still have the Clinton and president’s speeches!
Im sure every woman would wish she had the grace, charm.and sincere intelligence of this incredible woman. Never has the country had a first lady we could be so proud of.We are so lucky to have such a role model.
And she didn’t have to say “women I love you” , because she meant it and we knew it, but not just women everyone.
Oh btw I meant jazzed above.
Delegates are now saying Barack now and Michelle next, that is how well her speech is going over with some of the delegates.
I think Michelle was great but every speaker that I heard today was GREAT! Gov. Patrick was wonderful. Castro was great. We have some wonderful people in our party.
I am so proud to be a democrat, but tonight I don’t feel alone in my deepest beliefs.
“Mom-In-Chief.” Perfect self description – Michelle is a true source of national pride. She has lived the struggle of us 99%-ers, unlike Ann Romney, who truly cannot relate to us. Michelle subtly alluded to the obvious economic dichotomy, a fact the Romney campaign will never be able to escape.
If anyone tells you that the watched both conventions, and were convinced that Romney is the candidate we need, I would have to say their lying. Lying like Ryan. The democrats ROCKED!
She is quite a woman. So proud of her! I’m inspired by her sincerity, and genuine warmth. I always find myself praying for her and the first family. We have a true gift in them. I hope we don’t lose that. Actually, I know we won’t, but after exchanging comments with a family member, annnd that’s all I’m going to say about that. I needed to just step off, and gather my weapons of warfare… This woman is ready to fight for the Obama family in the White House for Four More Years!
Michelle is beyond wonderful — a class act. She is one of us and never above us! She and the President haven’t forgotten where they came from, and can and do identify with the common man. That’s the leadership we need in the White House for the good of all!!
The Obamas made a good life for themselves but are still looking back at those that haven’t made it yet. They are conscious of the 23 million jobless that want to start on the american dream and although Republicans never helped matters much,Barack will concentrate more on the jobless in the second term. When Barack wins, Republicans will need to cooperate more or become obsolete in 2016
Excellent speech! I didn’t know that Michelle and Barack grew up in poverty! Wait, uh, um, they didn’t! Oh, never mind. Such a normalizing of their lives is necessary to assure Barack’s second bite at the apple. And, it is absolutely necessary that they continue in office so Michelle can continue those entourage-of-friends vacations.
Wouldn’t want her to suffer the $4000 average drop in income that the rest of the country is undergoing. Michelle, an excellent well spoken blend of Eva Perón and Marie Antoinette! Please, sir, may I have more. . .cake?

What a brilliant classy women we have as First Lady. We are so fortunate.

Michelle has done so much to fight childhood obesity. What has Ann Romney done in her sorry life except marry Mitt?

I have a dream ! Obama can make it a reality.
