Roman Polanski

Roman Polanski http://mariopiperni.com/

.

It astounds me that anyone would actually come to the defense of Roman Polanski.  Some have gone as far as to call his arrest in Switzerland the culmination of a witch hunt. They talk of his charm and intelligence, his genius even, as if any of it could somehow make his deed any less reprehensible.  Poland and France are pleading that Switzerland and the United States release him from custody.

Why?

Here is a man who drugged, raped and sodomized a 13 year old girl.  He pleaded guilty to the charges and when he felt his plea bargain would not be accepted, he fled the country.  He’s been a fugitive for over 30 years.  He is a criminal.

Let him have his day in court like everyone else.

Sheesh Mario, there you go again being all reasonable..

Polanski raped a child, he does not deny this. The pleading of Poland and France to release him from custody glosses over the fact that he raped a child. They say he is charming, intelligent and possesses all manner of good attributes, which again glosses over the fact that he raped a child, fled the country. Were he not a celebrity we wouldn’t even be having this discussion, he would have already been deported and on his way back here to appear in court.

Time to boycott French Fries again.

  3. ANONYMOUS says:

You made Polanski look good! He is shameful.

  4. Tennessean says:

Tommy, Polanski is a dirt bag. At least in that instance. A talented dirt bag, but a dirt bag nonetheless. I think he has to face the music if for no other reason than the bad precedent it would set.

Boycott French Wine? No problem there. Boycott French Fries? That’s un-American? I’m surprised at you?? ;-)

  5. Anomaly100 says:

Mario, thank goodness you said that about Polanski. I thought I was losing it. Everyone seems to be siding with him as if nothing took place. Even the victim said she was upset by this and forgave him a long time ago. Prison sentences for rape should be harsh. Sentences for raping a child should be even worse. Period. Woody Allen signed the petition for his release. Next, the “Pedo bear” will be protesting.

  6. Jovial says:

A wrong is a wrong forever even if you prayed at the Vatican for the rest of your life. There is no forgiveness for this crime and he knows that if he dares enter a prison, his life will be over.

Extredite him and give him the justice he deserves.
