“I actually love this state. This feels good being back in Michigan … I like the fact that most of the cars I see are Detroit-made automobiles. I drove a Mustang and a Chevy pickup truck. Ann drives a couple of Cadillacs, actually.”
Anything wrong with anyone owning two Cadillacs? Nope. If you have the money, why not?
The problem, of course, is in Romney actually speaking those words out loud at a time when unemployment is at 8 percent, middle class America has been devastated by an economic recession and millions are suffering…and at at time when Romney desperately needs to lose his well-deserved image as poster boy for the 1 percent.
Mitt Romney might be a successful businessman but he’s still an idiot. Love the picture below of Romney speaking to a crowd of 1200 at Ford Field Stadium in Michigan. Beautiful because nothing inspires confidence like a man speaking to 65,000 empty seats. Did I mention he’s an idiot?
My first thought when I heard his comment was “what, she drives Cadillacs? Made by GM – the very company he would have thrown overboard because they weren’t worth saving? Well, it’s a good thing Obama saved GM so Ann could still buy them!
Can anyone help me determine which one is the LEAST idiotic in this GOP field? Just for the sport of watching how the opposing party might try to strategize for November…………..
Ok, I am silly today. I am also worried a little. Things look too good for Obama. Republican clown college is still in session and they are still having horrific debates about – WHAT ???? CONTRACEPTION ??? – I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. Even Romney’s high paid political advisers? “I have it guys, we will put him in the middle of this giant field surrounded by 65,000 empty seats. Like a man of the people! Like a Roman God! Wait, let’s get some pics of him hugging some kids in the locker room! Young ones, like 9 or 10! What a photo op!”
Why am I worried? Because I was feeling just this confident in 1999 at about this time while watching W getting closer and closer to the Republican nomination. America would never vote for this moron. The Republicans might as well disband and start some other party. Well…… Look how wrong I was. AND look at how disastrous the result for America. Picture a land war with Iran.
If one of these mental patients wins in November I won’t be able to take it. I will have to move to France. Call me a big quitter, I will deserve the badge of shame, but I’m getting too old for this shit. Tell me America isn’t sliding into idiocracy. Prove it to me. Go vote.
Mitt tries so hard to appear to identify with the little people, but he just can’t quite pull it off. He’s as transparent as Saran Wrap.
My first thought when I heard his comment was “what, she drives Cadillacs? Made by GM – the very company he would have thrown overboard because they weren’t worth saving? Well, it’s a good thing Obama saved GM so Ann could still buy them!
Mittens = loser come Nov 2012.
