NFL Players Tell Limbaugh To Shove It

Rush Limbaugh / NFL / http://mariopiperni.com/

.

As if politics has not infiltrated enough institutions, now we have this.

The media reported that hate radio host Rush Limbaugh is involved in a bid to purchase the National Football League’s St. Louis Rams franchise. Many sports media figures lambasted the idea of Limbaugh owning an NFL team, with one writer saying it “would definitely hurt” the Rams while another said his “head exploded after hearing this Limbaugh news” because he is “a pungent bowl of stark raving bigoted lunacy.”

Now, the players themselves are piling on. Specifically, many African-American players have explicitly stated that they would never play for a team that Rush Limbaugh owns. “All I know is from the last comment I heard, he said in (President) Obama’s America, white kids are getting beat up on the bus while black kids are chanting ‘right on,’” New York Giants defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka told the New York Daily News, adding, “I don’t want anything to do with a team that he has any part of.”

New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott said…

I can only imagine how his players would feel. I know I wouldn’t want to play for him. He’s a jerk. He’s an —.  He could offer me whatever he wanted, I wouldn’t play for him. … I wouldn’t play for Rush Limbaugh. My principles are greater and I can’t be bought.”

Nice.  Here’s a sampling of Limbaugh’s hate talk.

“Look, let me put it to you this way: The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”

“We need segregated buses. … This is Obama’s America.”

“President Obama is black. And I think he’s got a chip on his shoulder.”

Democrats are interested in Darfur to secure black “voting bloc.”

“Minorities never do anything for which they have to apologize.”

Obama’s nomination for president “goes back to the fact that nobody had the guts to stand up and say no to a black guy.”

Obama is a “halfrican-American.”

And let’s not forget about Limbaugh’s joy in playing Barack The Magic Negro repeatedly on his show.

  1. H M Bascom says:

Michael Steel and Alan Keyes would play for Boss Limbaugh. There, I said it.

  2. Jim Irwin says:

Rush Limbaugh already showed he cannot handle the NFL gig when he blew it with racial remarks about Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb in 2003 on ESPN…

the fat man can’t help himself and NOW it’s reported he has been selected as a judge for the Miss America pageant?

The NFL should use common sense and look at the mistake ESPN made in 2003 and not allow this idiot in as an owner.

  3. Anonymous says:

So Rush Limbaugh might buy an NFL team. Well, football is a very American institution. But is it Republican enough for him? Would the Limbaugh-owned team lose all the black players? Or would Limbaugh just replace them? Maybe Limbaugh thinks we need segregated sports in Obama’s America, just like buses.

  4. Boombah says:

Well, if Boss Hawg doesn’t get outvoted by the other judges, Miss America will most assuredly be blonde with blue eyes.

  5. Karen says:

Good for these dissenting team members. Happy to hear there is still a healthy sense of decency in our country.

  6. Jovial says:

There are serious mistakes we can make in life and having Limbaugh as owner could spell bad news for America. I could just see TV announcers spewing his drivel one way or another so he could fulfill his agenda.

I am sure owners are aware of the Limbaugh dilemna and if they have any sense they will sidestep that thought. I am still amazed that his rat-infested hate show makes him that kind of money. Not too solid for Capitalism.Encouraging an asswipe spreading filthy manured ideas. Limbaugh is not a different point of view. He is the epitomy of a weasel scrounging the bottom of a barrel fed by conservatives who are desperate to get our president unelected.

In life we are inspired or desperate. Limbaugh is symbolically a mix of a three-toed Box turtle and a Missouri bullfrog desperately hitching a ride on a Missouri mule bound to nowhere.

  7. Dahl says:

Kiwanuka is right – I think we should begin calling Limbaugh the King of ‘South Park’

Judge on Miss America? We all know how much he demeans and degrades women (fembots) Just the thought of that fat ass pervert drooling over these young girls in bikini’s makes me want to call 911.

  8. Tennessean says:

You guys are spot on with this one. Most NFL Team Owners are 70 and 80 year old self made white men. Probably not a racist bone in any of their bodies.

  9. Prtypoison says:

The NFLPA Union has gotten involved and a letter has been written in opposition of Limbaugh. There are other bidders for the team including a black bidder, hopefully Racist Limbaugh will not be picked. LOL
    http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/The_Trenches/entry/view/38530/nflpa_chief_demaurice_smith_opposes_limbaugh_bid_to_buy_rams

  10. Tennessean says:

“Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

So, you would take away two of those because you disagree with a person’s politics.

How long before you get around to taking away the third?
