I had to chuckle at this statement from Glenn Beck.
I will tell you that I ask my floor crew and my producers every night after the show and every morning at 7 a.m., “Guys, where do we have it wrong? What are we missing? How come there isn’t anyone else on this, these connections.”
I will tell you that I have two of very, very prominent universities that are currently working offsite for me on research. I have some of the biggest minds in America that are willing to look — don’t necessarily agree with me — that are willing to look and do research. I have independent researchers, I have universities doing research for me, I have my own personal researchers, I do my research, and I have Fox News doing research for me.
So I can only tell you that I don’t — if I can’t vet it, if I have conflicting evidence, if my news team happens to disagree with the research of my personal team or the colleges happen to disagree with it, I don’t air it. I will tell you that we are vetted. I will tell you that we may get things wrong from time to time, but I will tell you when we get them wrong.
Too funny. Anyone who has been paying attention is quite aware that Beck is on a mission to discredit the current administration and he is not one to allow facts to get in the way. Hey, when you’ve got “Fox News doing research for me”, how important can honesty, integrity and fairness be?
MediaMatters proceeds to point out how Beck’s “biggest minds in America” have gotten it wrong a number of times.

But I was so angry at Eric Burns (president of MM) last Night on Countdown with guest host David Shuster! He did not even Mention THE JESUS CAMP film praising of Bush when discussing Faux and other news outlets accusing schools of Indoctrinating kids by praising Obama during Black Achievement. O’Rielly, Beck, all of them saying there was no praising of Bush – they could find NO film! Why didn’t Eric bring that indoctrination film into discussion?
Don’t even argue it was a voluntary Christian group that parents approved of for their children. Because the school sent home the activity and song lyrics the kids would be singing to parents in advance and all approved. And I am so sick of “well if its Christian we can’t criticize” That’s how the right is getting so damn strong folks!
Dahl, don’t be upset because they recognized that it wasn’t the same. As was pointed out, one was a private camp and I would think from the name of it, a Religious based one. Parents paid to send their children there and one would assume they approved of the camp’s activities.
Th other was a public, tax payer supported school where attendance is mandatory.
Let’s see now. On one post here we’ve said it was okay to insult and ridicule Holocaust survivors. Now, we’re blasting those pesky Christians!! How long before ovens and lions follow?
The hate and fear you people are promoting is beginning to seriously worry me.
Be afraid Tennessean be very afraid! The audacity of the Right is increasing 10 fold.
A song about a black man’s success during Black History Month is hardly indoctrination, but it must really get you riled. And because of people with extremely small minds they even had the parents sign an approval note because they were going to mention the president in one of their songs – that’s scary.
I do not even know how you incorporate the ‘holocaust survivors/pesky Christians’ into this note. If you are addressing My comment it was “@Tennessean, Which one can we CALL OUT, Kitty Werthmann or Cindy Sheehan? Or can we Call Out facts to both and demand facts from both? Correlation please
dahl, you’re inability to understand isn’t surprising.
This is really not an issue I find important enough to waste much time on. The teacher made a poor decision. Address it and move on. I said absolutely nothing about indoctrination. And I don’t think it was. An overzealous teacher made a poor choice. EVERYONE should get over it.
Obviously you haven’t understood anything I’ve said. Sorry.
If you can’t look at the contributions from the maniacal liberal left and see it’s every bit as bad as anything the right has conjured up, then more’s the pity for your lack of comprehension skills.
