Of all the people to make the following statement…
“When you repeat a lie…people actually start to believe it as fact.”
…how ironic that it would be Glenn Beck. Actually, Beck’s entire on-air existence appears to be based on a couple of quotes attributed to Adolph Hitler.
“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it”
“All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.”
Both of those quotes fit in perfect with what we’ve seen from Beck, O’Reilly, Malkin, Limbaugh…the entire right wing noise machine really. Palin’s big stupid lies, for example, are perfectly suited for the “least intelligent” out there. In fact, there could be no tea parties if this truth did not hold. Making outrageous statements which have no basis in fact and repeating them has been the formula successfully used by the right.
And if I’m not mistaken, there is an entire supposed ‘news’ network out there that owes its very existence to those two quotes being true. As ugly as that might be, it is far worse when one realizes that the current version of the Republican party is based on those two same quotes and we’re seeing it played out each and every day.

All politicians want to make the masses believe in them. It is the masses that win elections. And even democrats including Hillary lied to win votes from the masses… it just backfired on her.
So I guess it is what side you are on as to whether the indoctrination is acceptable.
A communist state is one in which the government owns or controls everything. Beck wants less government. He speaks in suppport of private enterprise, which is the basis of individual freedom. As government becomes larger, it takes more and more capital away from the private sector, and diverts it to the public sector. That’s the path to communism.
Beck’s a communist in republican clothing
As Mr. Pancks would say in Little Dorrit, he’s a shabby deceiver.
Janine, please elaborate on that thought.
