you get surprised because liberals/progressives don’t operate on the same level, a person on the left generally believes in what they say a person on the right will say and do anything they can get away, the argument between Stewart and Oliver maybe have been done for comedic reason but honestly that is how the conservative mind set works, I love how they say U.S. Soil. there certainly were a lot of attacks under saint Reagan, these people will say and do anything, the whole birther movement was not because they actually believed Obama was born in Kenya it was because they could create doubt about him and cause him to loose popularity, that is why they say socialist, far left and Ultra this or that, it creates doubt and they want to say they are the only ones that can protect us.these people are not to be trusted nor is their point of view to be considered.
