Senator David Vitter becomes the latest Republican politician to pay homage to the loony birther crowd.
“I personally don’t have standing to bring litigation in court,” Vitter said. “But I support conservative legal organizations and others who would bring that to court. I think that is the valid and most possibly effective grounds to do it.”
So is Vitter a birther? Sounds like he is but it is just as likely that GOP politicians like Vitter are reluctant to offend the fragile sensibilities of birthers who make up a third of the Republican base. Why upset the nutcases when GOPers are aware that the other two thirds of Republican voters who are not birthers are not bothered in the least by the crazies. They figure that any issue which puts doubt on Obama’s presidency is a good one regardless of its validity.
After all, slime is what Republicans do best.

I’m not a birther, and I am pretty sure that he was born in Hawaii, but I’m not 100% sure.
He’s doing it to himself. He’s feeding the sharks. He’s refused to provide the birth certificate – not the certification of live birth that you used in the title graphic – it’s important because the long form ‘birth certificate’ lists the hospital and has the attending doctor’s name and signature. The ‘certification of live birth’ has his birthday. It’s pretty useless. Just release the birth certificate. Simple.
Also, he has claimed being delivered at two different hospitals. He only announced the second one after the first one said that he had not been born there.
This could all EASILY be clarified by releasing the long form birth certificate. Why keep refusing? (unrelated: why refuse to release academic records too?)
This is sort of like the “he not a socialist” hysteria on the Left. Just embrace it and say that it’s a stupid rule, and that it doesn’t matter where he was born. You would still support him if he admitted he was a socialist and you would still support him if he admitted that his mom falsified his US birth to allow him access to various entitlements.
In essence they are allowing 2% of the populace to dictate their agenda. I’d say how idiotic they are but hey, go for it GOP, let the crazies dictate your agenda, all the better for the Dems
Let’s not call them “birthers” anymore, let’s be truthful and just call them “bigots.”
It never ceases to amaze me that they haven’t wondered how Obama’s birth announcement, including an address, ended up in BOTH Honolulu newspapers. Was someone aware, way back then, that Barrack was going to run for president in almost half a century and a cover-up had to be started immediately?
How about the Honolulu Health Department? Didn’t they have at least one employee who was a democrat and would not have gone along with a cover-up?
Time to send Vitter an Email and let him know I think he is a loony tune.
janine: you did get the part about them being two different documents right? Read it again out loud, I’ve seen that help some other reading comprehension challenged people. One has almost no useful information and no signatures. The other lists the hospital and the attending doctor and has the doctor’s signature.
It has already been ended and proven and yet you, who say you are not a birther, do not comprehend the facts instead sticking to the tea bagger birther talking points.

@Amazed,
you did a beautiful job of proving the points raised in this article

David Vitter becoming a birther and diapers go together, sounds like a good fit to me!

You amazed me, and if you want a second opinion…..you are definitely a birther!
