Birtherism 101

A single video which brings you up to speed on all birther arguments.

.

.

It’s important to keep in mind that while we mock birthers (and rightfully so) as part of the lunatic fringe, there are Republican politicians both in and out of Congress who have fed the birther beast (here, here, here and here).  Forty-five percent of Republicans now say that they believe Barack Obama to have been born outside of the U.S.

Mainstream conservatives would rather you forget about birthers and never mention them.  Don’t let them get away with it.  Birtherism is linked to the Republican party in a serious way and it is only proper that you remind them of it at every instance.  Let them pay a price for fostering lunacy within their ranks.

Mario, they know what they are doing, I seriously doubt that they actually believe this stuff, but what it does is create doubts about Obama, that is how the GOP operates, if Hillary Clinton was president they would be doing more of the 60s radical stuff and everyone that listens to right-wing talk radio would be an expert on what a 60s radical is, if in 2016 the Democrats nominate so one like sen Mark Warner D-VA they will figure out how to demonize them, the Conservatives have a different play book than the Dems have, with the Democrats generally they think they are doing the right thing, while I don’t always agree with what they do it does not seem they have a hidden agenda, with the GOP it is all about winning, whether it is putting down someone’s military service by wearing a purple band-aid, birthers, taking someone’s comments about helping get the internet started with congressional funding based on a dept of defense program and morphing it into saying Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet, that’s what they do, when a couple bumps fists (which practically everyone I know under 55 does) and calling it a terrorist fist bump it leads me to believe that they will say and do anything, during the 2008 campaign Sean Hannity said on air before the democratic race was decided that Hillary Clinton did not come clean about the death of Vince Foster, when Sarah Palin uses her kids as campaign props and then complains when someone says something about her campaign but thought it was funny as hell when Rush Limbaugh referred to the 12 year old Chelsea Clinton as literally being a dog or John “what really happened at the Hanoi Hilton?” McCain made the remark of Chelsea Clinton being the love child of Janet Reno and Hillary Clinton, implying that both were lesbians and Sarah (my husband is a separatist) Palin but don’t say anything about her you know these cats will say and do anything, the GOP plays to win, what did they do when G.W. gave the party a bad name? re-branded themselves as conservatives, it is incumbent on democrats to make Conservative a dirty word the way the GOP has made liberal a dirty word, until people realize what they are about expect them to win more than they should, sometimes there are more than two sides to each story and sometimes there is only one.
