Not surprising you would endorse “Stuart Smalley” for Congressman. Although actually, this multiple failure and pathetic excuse for a man might be an improvement over the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and that bunch.
This man has failed at everything he has done. He should make a good Democratic Congressman.
And you know why? Because he’s good enough. And he’s smart enough.
Do you know what parrots do, bigdaddy? Well they just repeat stuff they hear. They have no understanding of what they’re saying or what it means – they just repeat the words they’ve heard over and over again.
I only mention this, bigparrot, because your criticism of Al Franken and your referencing him as Stuart Smalley made me smile. I smiled because the Smalley tag is how Bill O’Reilly refers to him on his show. O’Reilly, you see, refuses to call Franken by his real name. Why? Well, because Franken has helped expose O’Reilly for the the lying, self-serving individual he is. As a matter of fact, Franken wrote a book titled ‘Lies (And the Lying Liars Who Tell Them)‘. And guess who appeared on the cover of the book in all his glory? Yep. Another one of your cartoonish heroes – Mr. O’Reilly himself.
So O’Reilly has an axe to grind with Franken and guys like you dutifully listen in to O’Reilly for your daily dose of lies and misinformation. You then repeat the lies and misinformation which, sadly, you aren’t even aware is lies and misinformation for you could never fathom that your favorite Fox commentators could ever possibly say anything but the god’s honest truth. That, my friend, is the only joke here.
You state that Franken has failed at everything when in fact he was one of the first writers and actors at Saturday Night Live where he won a number of Emmy Awards. He had his radio show on Air America and then decided to do something more than simply speak about his country – he went out and sought a United States senate seat.
I read Franken’s book and found it entertaining. Franken has been a failure at virtually everything he has done. I am aware of Franken’s and O’Reilly’s mutual dislike of each other but that has absolutely nothing to do with MY opinion of Franken. I don’t dislike him at all. I just do not think he is suitable for a Congressional Position.
Franken’s success at SNL was more as a writer. His comedy I personally have never cared for. His show on Air America was an abject failure, as was Air America. He is a reformed (we hope) alcoholic and drug addict.
As far as winning a Senate Seat, he lost, lost, lost, lost, lost, lost, got close, and now has a 100 vote edge in a court contested election. Not necessarily a mandate, even if he is able to eventually end up buying the seat.
Ahhhhh….and I reminisce fondly to the days when you phonies cried so hard about the Courts electing Bush. Liberals……..you guys are just too funny.
Tell you what. I got a great idea. Why don’t YOU guys take Stuart Smalley as your Prime Minister. I think he would fit right in up there!!
And I hope you realize that blaming FOXX News for every dissenting opinion to your warped view point is pretty lame. I know it doesn’t fit into the views of the Intellectual Elite Liberal Nutcases, but you guys aren’t the only ones that know how to read and research.
“As far as winning a Senate Seat, he [Franken] lost, lost, lost, lost, lost, lost…”
Bigparrot, you should try to get your facts straight. The margin of victory in the senate election was so close that by law a recount was mandated. Franken won the recount. It is Coleman who is challenging the recount in court.
Yes, I know, it’s only facts…not really important stuff for guys who actually think Fox is a news network…but hey, it’s all I got.
This is just another example of counting and counting until you achieve a desired result then declaring the counting over. And yet another example of you endeavoring to mislead.
You really should ease off the FOXX News Derangement Syndrome stuff. Just makes you appear ignorant. You apparently feel you are so intellectually superior that you need to try to discredit anyone who differs with you with such dismissive stupidity.
I’ve always been told that when you are continuously pointing our fault with others, you are simply trying to cover your own faults.
Hey..look at the bright side. If the Liberals achieve a filibuster proof senate and with their majority in the house, they will soon bring back the Fairness Doctrine and effectively try to censor out of existence Conservative Talk Radio and any other opinion that doesn’t fall in line with them.
And all this coming from a person who sheds crocodile tears over the evils of too much power in the hands of one party.
Guess it’s okay when it’s a bunch of wild eyed Liberal Democrats that have the power? Eh??
You’re quite entertaining, bigparrot. Do you ever reread what you write before hitting the ‘submit’ button? You might want to try doing so. It would help making you a tad more credible.
In your last comment, the first part dealt with referring to me as “appear[ing] ignorant“, “feel[ing] a need to try to discredit others” and you wrote of my “dismissive stupidity“.
And then in your very next paragraph, you write,
“I’ve always been told that when you are continuously pointing out fault with others, you are simply trying to cover your own faults.”
Absolutely. Franken is bright, articulate and knowledgeable – 3 qualifications, btw, which President Inept was lacking.
And pardon me if I’m being “arrogant” or “stupid” but do you have any idea how difficult it is to take you seriously in respect to who is or is not fit to be a US Senator? You’re the guy who believes that Bush was a great president and that Sarah Palin was qualified to be VP and, if memory serves me, you thought she would of made a wonderful president!
Please. You’re the last person I know who is in a position to make an assessment of who is or is not qualified for a senatorial seat.
I’d like to see a law passed which states that anyone who voted for Bush twice should lose their right to vote for a minimum of 12 years.
I’d forgive them for voting for the worst president in US history the first time but…a second time?!!? C’mon.
You know. We may finally have stumbled onto something we can agree on, although for diametrically different reasons I’m sure. I think people SHOULD have to pass some sort of test to prove they are reasonably informed before they are allowed to vote.
That would have sure done YOUR boy in, wouldn’t it?
And a thought on the side. “The View” is almost enough to make me believe in and support censorship. And Joy Behar should be committed as mentally insufficient to support a life form.

Sure. Speak to the difference between “initiated” and “responded”.
Does this mean you agree Stuart is not fit to be a United States Senator?
Absolutely. Franken is bright, articulate and knowledgeable – 3 qualifications, btw, which President Inept was lacking.
