“I want to just take a moment to thank the Teabaggers. Thank you so much for helping us pass health care, for resurrecting the Obama presidency. I know they’re saying, ‘Why are you thanking me? I was so against it, I marched on Washington with tea bags hanging off my Founding Fathers costume, with a gun on my hip and a picture of Obama dressed as Hitler, screaming about his birth certificate.’ And America saw that and said, ‘I think I’ll go with the calm black man.’”

“Democrats said that they were called the ‘N word,’ which of course would be wrong and inappropriate. But no one has any record of it. No witness saw it, it’s not on camera, it’s not on audio. They said that they were spat upon. No one saw it.”
“There’s a $10,000 reward right now for anyone who can produce a video or an audio. Don’t you think we would have seen a video or an audio by now if there was something out there?”
Actually, there are many witnesses to the ‘N word’ incident as well as the one where a Congressman was spat upon. And there is video of the spitting incident though it is not clear whether the spitting was intentional.
That said, I too offer a $10,000 reward for anyone producing audio or video footage of Jesus Christ walking, talking, sleeping or performing a miracle of any sort. And there is another $10,000 for anyone producing tape of Columbus’ landing in the New World. I stand by Bachmann’s logic that if one cannot produce a tape of an event, then it could not possibly have happened. It’s mere hearsay and nothing more.
And besides, everyone knows that teabaggers are much too refined a group to ever commit such an offensive act.

Health insurers think they have found a loophole in the new health care law.
…insurers argued that what the law really said was that if they choose to cover children, they must cover expenses arising from preexisting conditions. But they claim that doesn’t mean they have to offer insurance at all to that child. Without a public insurance plan for children to opt in to, their only choice is the private market.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius responded.
“The American people debated and discussed health insurance reform for more than a year. Congress and the President have acted. Now is not the time to search for non-existent loopholes that preserve a broken system.”
After spending millions in an attempt to derail health care reform, insurance companies will stop at nothing to preserve their right to screw around with people’s lives to maintain their profit margin. Bastards.

A technical glitch is messing things up a bit. My automated spam program is acting up. It’s taking comments and placing them in a moderation queue for no good reason and I’m not sure why (wingnut sabotage? Nah.) If you write a comment and it does not immediately appear, this is the reason. I’ll get it fixed as soon as I find a little free time to look into it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In the meantime, your comments will be set free manually. You shall be heard! I promise.
